Is this album worth purchasing? I've listened to the majority of the previews on iTunes and her voice sounds so crisp and velvety Breath of fresh air!

Umm I did'nt notice anything but I know they promoted it pre-release so surely they do..

It was a late one and at about 9.15 this morning I was very zombified haha..

Yes, this is currently £4.99 for the download on Amazon, this week only. Why would anyone bother with iTunes? Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm not an Apple aficionado, lol.

PS It's also on Spotify

It's interesting to hear you guys over there, because in the states, the reviews aren't too great. A few have absolutely massacred her. Was she ever going to get a fair shake though, tbh? I think some had made up their minds before the album was heard in it's entirety.

To me she is entertaining. And a microcosm into the visceral aspect of the music industry. When I saw her at the Troubadour there were more suits in that place then fans. Checking out the investment. To be honest, I've seen better singers in clubs up and down Hollywood Blvd. But she has that hip, unhinged vibe happening that is irresistible. I hope she holds on for the ride.

Btw- TS Fearless received a 58 critical rating from Pazz and Jop and still sold a boatload. I think the same will hold out for BTD. (Not saying she will get that low of a score, just that she will sell huge no matter what critics say).

With all the popularity of Adele, could there ever be a persona more the antithesis? It is really stunning actually.
And very entertaining.

It seems Lana is successful other than her own country, success well deserved though. Sweet girl.

The US will eventually follow, I'm certain of it. SNL did her no favours, though. Hindsight is a marvellous thing, of course, but it came too early for her. Mind you, the pressure is on for the Letterman appearance this week!

Her European success is going to be hard for the US to ignore.

Love that song but it definitely reminds me of another song and i can't for the life of me think what it is. Any ideas? Her voice on that song is superb. IMO definitely worth paying the extra for the Deluxe (it's actually the Deluxe that is #1 on iTunes, the Standard is #2)

"If you're going crazy, just grab me and take me. I'd follow you down, down, down"

Probably my favourite highlight from the album.

I genuinely love this album and I'll be playing this for years! Never have I fallen this hard for an album where I love each and every track, and give it a full spin without fighting the temptation to skip to other tracks! It's incredible. Pure magic. If I had to pick a single favourite (which is very hard!) it'd be Summertime Sadness and the song I've not completely clicked with yet when up against the other 14 stellar tracks is Million Dollar Man.

I bought the deluxe digipack version from Play.com, love the four postcard pictures of Lana that came with it! So thrilled to see the album doing so well pretty much everywhere too! This album truly deserves every inch of success it gets and beyond. Count me in as a huge huge fan! I'll post a review on the tracks later, for now I'm off to give the album another spin while I cook dinner haha!

It really is a bit special, isn't it? So pleased for her what with the crazy sh*t she's had to endure from people who really should know better. Victory will be even sweeter for Lana, muhahahahaha

Can't see a day in the foreseeable future where I don't listen to this album multiple times.

Born to Die (single) has dramatically shot up the Irish iTunes chart to #7. It was hovering between 20-30 all last week.

Still adore this album.

"Radio" is currently on repeat, although it's not my favourite song off the album...it's just catchy as hell.

Now my life is sweet like cinnamon
Like a f****** dream I'm living in
Baby love me 'cause I'm playing on the radio
How do you like me now?
Pick me up and take me like a vitamin
'Cause my body's sweet like sugar venom (oh yeah)
Baby love me 'cause I'm playing on the radio
How do you like me now?

We just have very good taste over here I really hope she plays a gig here in the not too distant future.

Meanwhile, I think this is one of the fairest reviews I have come across for the album;

Found myself pretty much agreeing with everything though I would give it a 9/10 rating (and remove the GaGa/Rihanna diss)
