He often looks zoned out . In a little bubble all of his own .

Must have. Gently mentions Anton and Ann 'dancing' to 'My Heart Will Go On' from Titanic.

I think the idea of having one of the singers sing is a good one (I suggested it a few weeks ago) but I think they need to first and foremost choose a song that will be the best choice for the singer I would let the singer choose it).
Whether it works as a dance song should not be a factor, but if the song happens to suit and they can put together a good enough dance that doesn't detract from the song then fine.

I'm saying that because I didn't think Mr Bojangles was an ideal choice of song.

Mr Bojangles was a better choice than some.

I wish they'd stick to the tunes written specifically for ballroom dancing, those by all the famous composers written when "everyone" went ballroom dancing.

What's wrong with tunes of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Lerner and Loewe, Richard Rogers, Harry Warren, Jule Styne, Hoagy Carmichael, Vernon Duke, Jimmy Van Heusen, Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen?
The list is endless.

It's s'pposed to be a ballroom dancing show, not a naffin' school disco.

I know a lot of people like that song but I personally don't, and it's totally unsuitable for dancing to. I remember a contestant going out on Andrew Lloyd Weber's Dorothy show, and the song was blamed as being too inacessible, which I think is true.
