Why do so few of the males wear tails when doing ballroom these days? They always look so good in them and it makes the dance look so much more professional.

Probably because they cost a fortune and the BBC wardrobe department can't afford them.

I have been thinking the same thing. This is the first year that they haven't been seen, they were always worn when doing the waltz and quickstep.

I should imagine it is because it cost a fortune to have the dress shirts starched, and there is only one laundry in Bournmouth who still provides that service these days.
