I'm glad Harry's doing the Rumba

We might just get another stat out of him - if he scores over 30 then he's a cert for the final (only 8 male celebs have scored 30 or over for a Rumba and they've all made the final 3, with 3 of them (Darren, Tom and Chris) winning, 4 coming second (Colin, Matt Baker, Matt DiA, Ricky W) and Gethin coming third))

Jason with the AS - think Kristina will go with Foxtrot-style, and they did really well in their FT so this should be pretty good, although Jason hasn't (properly) done lifts yet so that should be interesting to watch.

Chelsee with the Jive - good choice I think. As long as Pasha doesn't put too much content in (which I think he did in their Charleston, although Chelsee did really well to keep up with him in that) then she'll do good.

Here are the likely (imo) song options for Chelsee, based on the film soundtracks:
"Accidentally In Love" by Counting Crows
"I'm A Believer" by Smash Mouth (this list is based on the Wikipedia entry who have them listed as the artists of the first version of this song in the first film)
"What I Like About You" by The Romantics (it was included in the Far Far Away Idol section in Shrek 2)

Haven't seen Shrek 3 so I don't know about that one, but I think those 3 are the most likely options, think AIL could work as a Jive.

Why is it the week that I'm abroad is the week Chelsee and Pasha get the jive I've been waiting for? The swingathon just confirmed how brilliant that's going to be - although the Shrek theme might kill it in the same way the Austin Powers theme killed Matt Baker's jive for me

There are loads of songs suitable for a Jive from the Shrek movies and no reason at all they have to go the whole Ogre costume route. Pasha is not Aliona.

An A/S to Singin' in the Rain with Kristina choreographing? Jason will have to mess up really badly for that to go wrong.

I would hope that the most they would do is base the costumes (ie, the actual clothing) on Fiona and Shrek, without the makeup department going down the hulking green ogre route.

I would hope so too. This is the wardrobe and makeup departments we are talking about though and subtlety has never been their strong point

That is not a reassuring thought!

Well if they do end up dressed like that it's nothing to do with Aliona or her choreography!

The professionals do usually inform costume what they'd like and ultimately sign it off

Harry's rumba is guaranteed to be over-scored to try and keep him safe. Robbie is possibly doing the quickstep. Expect it will be very decent but he will be marked down. The scoring becomes ridiculously manipulated from around final 7 or so. Just look at the Swing-athon - Robbie and Anita may as well not have taken part, because they'd decided to give them the least points before they'd made it to the dancefloor. If Robbie had done that QS the same as Harry did on Sat, he would have got about 34 for it, max, and they would have highlighted faults.

It will be interesting this week, Alex and Robbie will likely have Ballroom so probably doing OK. Holly and Harry have dances outside their comfort zone based on past experiences (Holly having a Latin I'd imagine).

Crossing fingers for Pirates of the Caribbean...

(On DWTS movie week Carson's glorious interpretation of PotC was a Viennese Waltz but I think it would make a good paso)

Katya choreographed a paso to POTC for SYTYCD earlier this year - one of the best dances of the series.
