Even Amazing Brendan Couldn't Save Anita

It's a pity, really. He did so very well with her this week. Robin seems a lovely bloke, but Brendan is a much stronger dancer. Makes you wonder what sort of progress Anita could have made had she been paired with Brendan from the beginning of the series.

Adieu, Anita and Robbie.

Poor old Brenda. He always gets the duffers. Must be his turn for someone who can actually dance.

So true. It was a bit sad seeing him try to inject some life into Anita last night. Good Lord, he was even singing to try and get some sort of spark from her.

Let's hope he gets a dancer next year.

Poor sod. What did he do to deserve this? I'd quite like to see him shine again. He's done his time

I think Robin was the right pro for her, she'd have been out earlier paired with Brendan, who should have been with Holly. Artem is doing the best with what he has.

What was the question again?

Robin’s message to Anita was so sweet. It’s a shame that they couldn’t finish their Strictly journey together.

Can’t say that Anita’s exit was a huge shock, but I am sad that it happened on Brendan’s watch. Even knowing the spoilers in advance, my heart still broke a little for him.

I'm just thankful he didn't get her to the final. My nerves wouldn't take Anita in silver lycra recreating the Bacofoil Showdance whilst grinning maniacally.

I think it was Anita's time to leave regardless of her partner - maybe a week later after Robbie, but he has a bigger fan base. I felt sorry for Brendan, he clearly felt responsible - he seemed upset and kept apologising to Anita, but he did a great job with her and choreographed a lovely routine, which she appeared to really enjoy. And nice he got to have a final dance with someone who appreciated his hard work, thanked him and included him in the dance.

It's no one's fault. The numbers are dwindling and so weaker, less popular couples are going to get voted off.

It was Anita's turn and her exit was a classy one. I'm going to miss her.

Mr. Boddington has 40 meters of wire. He used 3/7 of the wire on a naff model of the FIFA cup that his wife still weeps over, when he could have been fixing the drain, the selfish sod. How many nights did Mr. Boddington spend sleeping on the sofa?

Show your work.

There's this, at least.

I'm glad that Anita gave Brendan the appreciation he deserved. Sadly, there wasn't much he could do with her as shs had ran out of steam.

Not to say talent.

Robbie should have gone this week rather than Anita (sorry - I know the guy is very upset at the moment and I am truly sorry for that, but I'm only speaking from a dance perspective.) Having said that, Anita could perhaps have only hung on for another week if Robbie had gone tonight - I think that would have been her limit, to be honest.

She has left the show with a great deal of dignity and with a positive attitude. She wasn't the strongest of dancers but she clearly gave it her all, and had a great relationship with Robin and I hope she looks back on her experience with pride.

At least she was gracious to him but her number was definitely up.

Anita thanked Robin very warmly, and also Brendan. What a difference to how Lulu behaved. They're hoping that Robin will be on It Takes Two tomorrow.

3/7 wire used on FIFA cup model
4/7 wire used on cage for wife
14 hours spent on constructing cage
2 hours spent forcing wife into cage and fastening it shut while preserving both hands.
2 hours down at the pub discussing Robbie vs Anita.
ergo 6 hours spent sleeping off hangover on sofa
Thus only one night spent on sofa

I feel sorry for Brendan. I don't really mind Anita going out, but now it seems as if it was Brendan's fault!

And he was in the bottom two with his previous partner (Holly).

I don't think anyone will think it is Brendan's fault (with one exception of course), Anita and Robin will not think that either as they will have known that she couldn't go much further in the competition
Brendan did seem to feel bad about it though and appeared quite upset, not that he has any reason to.
He wasn't in the bottom 2 with Holly, it was last week with Artem.
