I think this quote from Janet at the end is rather telling. She just wants to get out there and do her own thing, not be manipulated by this show any longer.

Especially with the uncalled for hatred against her on this forum, I think leaving tonight was the best thing for her.

Good luck for the future Janet! Hope you make something of yourself in the way you want to do it!

Winning this show wouldn't necessarily have been a good thing for her anyway. I think she'll bring out a credible album.

Janet is unique....and will be a fantastic star.

she said that? I stopped watching. A lot of people assumed she didn't want to be there but can't believe she actually said it!

She was my favourite but I'm glad she didn't win. She doesn't need to be attached to any sort of label i.e 'X Factor Winner'. She'll do well

Maybe she was putting a positive spin on it and she must have known after her poor performance yesterday. I thought her exit was very dignified not many tears in the sing off, I think she showed a lot of maturity for one so young.

I think she said it in a way that it was her time to go and she wants to get out there and do her own thing, ie hopefully sing songs that are suited to her.

Then she remembered she was on the tour!

Janet thinks she's better than she actually is....her re-introduction into obscurity is going to be painful

Janet is very genuine. I don't like her voice but as person she is very likable and real.
batman.

Maybe now she can dye her hair back and go back to how she was at the start of the show before the producers got their hands on her and release a solid album next year. There is no doubt that she will get a record contract imo.

she's another diana vickers in the making she'll be forgotten about by the end of the next new series!

LOL She made the decision to audition for the X Factor. Good riddance to her.

I think its a blessing in disguise. I think Janet is going to be fine.

Its Mary Byrne all over again.

Topped the vote I expect, producers/Syco get worried, she gets early slots (she has never sung after Amelia, or last 3 or after Misha except once - incredible in 7 weeks!), starts to get criticised for being boring and a one trick pony, loses her confidence, loses votes and then goes home in a sing off.

Its probably best for her out of this show and away from the fakery and hatred - she can now go home to her family and mourn her granddad.

The longer this show lasts - the nastier it becomes!

This. If she didn't need the show she wouldn't be in it.
So she's not 'unique' if she was she wouldn't want be in a show like this

Being another Diana Vickers is hardly a bad thing considering her critically acclaimed role in a musical, number one album and number one lead single. She's also recently written a duet for Enrique Iglesias & Jennifer Lopez, and has another album coming out soon.

you missed the end bit... 'and start making some music'
I thought she was gracious and dignified.

she was 16 when she auditioned last year - as good a show case to start off her career as any other, possibly the best . i doubt olly muirs would have got too far without XF

It was right that she went tonight as she was the worst last night and forgetting the words 2 weeks before the final is bad.

I didnt like her voice and thought she always looked sulky but wish her well in what she wants to do in the future

Maybe she only found out during the process that it wasn't really for her.

Quite. She doesn't have an ounce of star quality as far as I am concerned.
