I wasn't a fan of Diana Vickers, but i do know she did very well in "Little Voice" and has had a hit single.

Another thing, there are hundreds of credible artists out there that most of us have never heard of making a good living in music. You don't have to be in the public eye all the time to be having a good career.

i take it you don't like Janet's back side much, but what about her voice you have yet to comment on that
remember this is about the singing not the body

This wasn't a great attitude to display to the public, especially as The X Factor has given her an amazing platform and a nationwide audience that a lot of struggling musicians don't have. I don't think she was 'manipulated', I actually think she was lucky to get so far on a show like this. Many others will never have this opportunity and that is the important thing to remember.

The bottom line for Janet is that she does like to do her own thing and she is a bit of a musician as well isn't she? That isn't what they want. Syco want somebody who is prepared to be exploited and I don't think Janet is, hence they don't want her. She is good when she gets the right music, which isn't the bland stuff Syco will give her. She is clearly more intelligent and has a lot more going for her than Misha, though Misha would be a better fit for Syco perhaps. However Misha won't win. I think it is going to be between Amelia and Marcus (at least I hope anyway).

She obviously knew that the producers had the knives out for her and was fully expecting to go - why fake sadness and go along with the pretence when she's clearly happier now that she's out of the X Factor environment? Now that her name's out there she can play gigs and perform in her own style, knowing that she'll be performing for paying fans and not to impress a panel of judges.

I probably won't buy her music, but I'm happy she's left with her integrity intact and wish her well.

Diana hasn't been forgotten or gone away. Personally I think Diana's album is the best album to come from any x-factor finalist. If anyone hasn't heard it and was a fan of Janet's voice, I highly recommend Diana's debut album. Much better than the JLS and One Direction kiddie pop. A new album is due early 2012.

Yes thank you !!!!! The OP should be made change the title of the thread !!!

The difference adding that vital last part to the sentence changes everything !

Tonight on Xtra Factor she seemed the happiest she has been throughout the series of Live shows. At least she's got herself a launch pad now to start doing her own thing!

Charming. What a ray of sunshine you are
As a Misha fan I felt so sorry for Janet last night after her first performance and wish her the best of luck for the future as I really like the girl. And unlike a certain Janet fan, I don't hold grudges against another set of fans or call people names to make myself feel better.

I think Janet knew they wanted her out, but I also think she realised they were trying to change who she is, and I wish her the best of luck. I respect her for not wanting to be a puppet and wear clothes she did not feel happy in, I would not either.

I agree. I was not a van of Vickers during the live shows, but I thoroughly enjoyed her album Didn't both the single and album get #1?

I think she has the kind of voice more suited to folk type songs than pop songs and that's probably the route she'll follow.

Well if Jessie J can get a record contract, then it's almost a sure certainty that Janet will get a record contract too, as Janet is 100x the better singer than Jessie J. Jessie was pretty awful tonight, imo.

She probably said it because she knew the end was nigh.
I'm sure she'll bring an album out to satisfy her fans though.

That's the impression i get off her too ,the only good thing i can say about Janet is she has an instantly recognisble voice ,so whilst this can be a good thing unless she starts listening to advice from the experts she'll find it very difficult to get someone to sign her

She will be forgotten about by next week. She will now just fade away thank god.

Although the OP deliberately misquoted what Janet said, it wouldn't worry me if she said exactly that.

If you have been eliminated from the show, it's only natural to want to move onto the next thing. Why would she want to hang around?

You evidently haven't forgotten about Diana Vickers, slightly ironic n'est pas?
