On reflection its probably best that Janet went now as X-Factor didn't bring the best out of her at all in fact it felt like she was being stifled because she wouldn't conform especially after last night when she bungled MMMbop but now she can concentrate on the tour and I bet next year she will be back on that stage as a guest artist. I don't think we have heard the last of Janet Devlin.

IMO,the weakest act went home.Having said that,none of the acts left were less than talented,and Ieven though I'm glad Misha stayed,I hope you're right and that Janet does well.She very well could. She has a marketable recording voice and a solid fan base.

I like her voice.... singing the more appropriate songs for it and look forward to hearing her in the future.
Im a huge janet fan and I can say im glad she went, best thing for her. X factor is a joke this year.

I would have had her out the first week and kept Amelia but could you imagine Louie!! he would have freaked out!!!
I'm sure there will have been these sort of threads every year with just a different singer mentioned...and you rarely hear from them again. I fear this will also be the case here.

Janet will be fine. She wasn't right for this show and it wasn't right for her.
Give her a couple of years to mature and develop as a performer and I think she could have a successful career.

Yeah I wonder if when Janet records her solo album there will be words missing from the songs?
It could become her trademark style forgetting the words to her songs!

To be honest, the way this series has gone, what with no clear favourite and no-one with a huge amount of momentum over the others. I think a fair few of the contestants will have a fairly equal chance at a career.
Janet's will probably be one of the most interesting ones to witness. I know I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for it.

i was a big janet supporter because she has something that the others don't (even though the others all have decent voices)....and that's a recognisable and unique voice. i found it beautiful. right up my street.
she clearly suffered badly from nerves on most shows..but as is normally the way when someones in a sing off they put their nerves behind them and get on with it. i think largely she did that tonight. reminded me of her first audition. that's another thing...a lot of her songs that she's performed haven't been well chosen for her.
she will do well outside of the competition as she has a great recording voice.

I've heard it's going to be produced by Norman Collier.
I'm glad this stuck up, smug and stroppy teenager has had her scrawny and boney arse kicked off the show.
Yeah she will probably make one or two very bland and middle of the road albums that will get played a lot in dentists waiting rooms but apart from that i doubt her career will have any longevity.
