In shows like this, people always want the most likeable and nicest contestant to win. They fail to realise that in the past almost all of the nice likeable winners have been one failure after the other.
Being a musician is not about being likeable and nice. It's about making great music, it's about putting on great performances, stage presence, swag and confidence. Making people want to see you and know about you.
The X Factor is an entertainment show. And yeah everyone feels great when their favourite wins, but wait a second, don't you all then forget to actually go out and buy their music? Some people get so defensive over their favourites on here and are so rude about other contestants that they fail to see the fact that the winner on shows like this is only being set up for a big fall as with most of the past winners.
So in reality some of the winners have actually been the biggest loosers overall. The contestants who don't win, never had it in the first place, so anything they get is a win after the show is over.
