I read somewhere that the girl who played Kelly - I think her name was Tupel or something was bullied by a clique comprising of Saint Anthony and a few others. i dont know if that was a reason for her leaving but i read they made it tough for her when she started. That clique has been known for bullying newcomers.

It's fair to say there was a few of us upset his character wasn't hit by a tram....

(yeah, heard of the little clique and their bullying ways. If the identities of said bullies are true, there's a distinct lack of talent and its probably jealously)

Spiteful, nasty unattractive, bitchy little git. Deeply unpleasant individual. My friend said he is just the sort that gives the gay community a bad reputation. I thought he would be witty in a camp funny OTT way, but in fact he's the complete opposite.

Honestly i have said(along with other posters) for years about Antony Cotton on DS, it is well known what a w**nker he is along with the one who plays Fiz they are a nasty bitchy pair about other cast members(allegedly), no doubt Alison King will be on their list of bitching about, as she is a brilliant Actress and popular and they are shall we say....., shite

It is very disappointing the way he is coming across on IAC , maybe thats why Corrie have left him go to the jungle- to be rid of him for a while- I think he needs to do a few bushtucker trials - he has it too soft in there, but as he is in the jungle then it is likely we will be getting a break from him on the telly some time in the future! result!!!

The daft thing is, I thought the fact that he's not the best actor meant that Sean's 'niceness' must largely have been his own character traits showing through. I couldn't have been more wrong!

Allegedly Anthony had a little clique that consisted of himself, the actress who plays Fizz and the actress who used to play Molly and they apparently bullied Tupele who played Kelly. This rumour went around for ages up until she left, more recently I've heard that they are being nasty to the actress who plays Julie now.

Some people say Kym Marsh is part of this little bitchy gang as well, however whenever I see her talking about Corrie (which is a lot lol) she never mentions Anthony as being one of her friends on the show. She's also not mentioned him on Twitter, and neither have any other members of the cast from what I've seen (I follow Becky, Rosie, Sophie Sian, Jason, Tina and Kylie). Which says a lot imo. You'd think they'd all be rooting for him wouldn't you?

He's obviously got friends in high places at ITV/Granada. Can't think why else such a dreadful actor and foul person would be kept on the show?

I am not liking Anthony at all, but then I never liked his brother Nick (Dot has a lot to answer for!!)

He got the job on Corrie because of his role on the acclaimed TV series 'queer as folk' and all the acting on that was fantastic.

However he has a lot to learn about toleration and I suggest to him that he works on that for the next few years instead of criticizing others! What a Plum!

Perhaps the ITV/Corrie bosses want rid of him and thought that by Anthony going into the jungle everyone would see him as he truly is and due to public demand they would finally be able to get shot of him

I dont watch corrie but my mother says that his character is popular and is a nice guy...... so Im guessing his fans are dissapointed with the reality of him (Anthony) and how it compares to someone created by Coronation streets script writers.

I was discussing this with a friend at the weekend, you have to know the difference between a character and the person who plays them.

I love Brian Kinney but I'm under no illusion, the actor who plays him, Gayle Howard, is a bit of a knob

The emergence of his true character , that has become evident in his time in the Jungle, will have done his career no good at all.

I think he's quite similar to his character. Sean is often very self obsessed and selfish and Anthony seems like that aswell.

BIB: That's what I've been saying. It's pretty telling as to who is NOT banging the drum for him on Twitter. There's only that Fiz person and the girl who plays Eva. I follow a pretty similar list to you, and the guy who plays Marcus has been pretty silent too.

And considering all the Emmerdale stars and Corrie stars tweet each other all the time, they've all been silent over him too.

thats why they only got fizz and eva to speak to support him also when they read out the celeb tweet on tiv2 show there are never any tweets from corrie cast supporting moanthony.

I was watching that Fizz character on a live link talking about her friend Anthony and she came across as a right stuck up mare. I can't stand her on Corrie.
I don't mind Sean on corrie, but I can't stand Anthony Cotton.
