... so she'll probably go next week, if the votes aren't there.

Haters need to chill out.

So all top 4 get deals, why on earth do people bother to vote then, seems a pointless waste of money.

Because it's the difference between being an Eoghan or a JLS.

Has the OP inside information? I thought Simon was supposed to be so down on the quality of acts this year that it was an open question as to whether anyone but the winner would be signed. (Unless the winner's already been decided... not much would surprise me )

Hope not...needs a deal outside of the competition!!

Top 4 have first-look deals with Syco. It's obviously up to Syco if they follow through, and with Misha, they obviously will.

She's the type of person they can just give £500k to, and she'll come back in 6 months with a finished album, four singles, music videos, a fashion line and a book deal.

But would anyone buy this trash?

Though Misha is less popular than them : Eggnog and JLS never went through three sing offs

Yeah, I didn't mean Misha though.

Voting means nothing in the grand scheme of things regarding Misha B. The audience that'd buy a Misha B album don't vote on shows like The X Factor.

I think the only thing that has changed is that she now gets a guaranteed non refundable advance (but 4th place is only £25,000 IIRC). The winner gets £150,000 (that's why you always hear that they've paid their parents mortgage off).

Rowetta
Brenda
The MacDonald Brothers
Niki Evans
Danyl Johnson

All 4th place finishers that didn't get signed. Diana Vickers and Cher Lloyd are the only two to get deals with RCA and Syco respectively.

I don't get it, tbh. Misha doesn't scream commercial success, IMHO. Why let Tulisa say what she did, thus destroying Misha's chances? I think they might just be keeping her for TV purposes.

remember most acts only get 12 months , probably not the best move really

Nicki Minaj, Sabi and Cher Lloyd would disagree with you.

Singer-rappers are HUGE at the moment.

Now that it's pretty obvious Marcus is going to win...only Little Mix are in with a chance to get signed whatever happens to them from now on. Misha just isn't very marketable.

I am a Misha fan who would never vote on the X Factor (though not just XF, all reality shows with phone voting... I assume it's only teenagers who bother doing that kind of thing any more?!!) - anyway I couldn't give two hoots about Misha's personality, or anyone else's for that matter. I always skip through those ridiculous sob stories and don't watch the behind the scenes show, just the performances.

It's about the voice, the style, the production & talent, and I for one can't wait to see what Misha will produce in a studio after the XF circus is over

I'd buy her album if that's what you're referring to?

Watching the show Misha has had more image changes and hair cuts than Katie from last year. She started out as Grace Jones, then they tried Tine Turner and now it's changed again.

So who is the real Misha B ? At least Katie was consistent in her look.

It does make you think 'what is the point ofwinning the show' when half the finalists get a Syco record contract anyway.

It seems the only benefit to winning is a shot at the Xmas no 1 - and then having to wait 10 months until the X factor live shows to launch your second single.

Who wants consistency? I want to see the XF acts mix it up. I want to see their full range and an attempt at different styles, not just repeating every word and note exactly as per the original songs.

Madonna never kept the same look for longer than an album & that seemed to work just fine for her

Agreed, I can only imagine they have some big star lined up for the final and want her in for that.

There's no other reason, they certainly don't want her to win, they can keep her in with sing offs, but once it gets to the final they can't get her more votes than the competition.

Misha is what Cher Lloyd wanted to be...
Come on, if Cher can get a number one single, so can any of the contestants this year.
I personally think that Misha is very talented, but I'd never vote on a TV show.
I reckon I'd buy/download her album though.

Sounds ever so unlikely, but if it's true I'm absolutely delighted she failed Cher with all nuance ironed out of her voice isn't a happy thought.

IF she's signed to Syco via the show, then they don't have high hopes for her, as the best artists are co-signed to a co-label, especially if they have overseas potential.

So right now, expect an album of covers and a few of those crappy rapping records the chavs are buying up and playing at full blast out of their 15 year old Ford Escorts.

Partly, that's a shame, as she's an excellent singer, but her demographic is very restricted due to being unpopular other than with the "BRAAP BRAAP" crowd.
