Sympathy vote for Little Mix?
Too Close

I noticed the girls crying after their 2nd song it was so obvious they planned that to get votes, knew they didn't do well on Saturday night and the crying after the 2nd song booked their place in the semi final disgraceful!

i dont think they did it for the sympathy vote at all i think they cried at the end of the song because it means soo much to them! LITTLE MIX TO WIN!

Correct also they said it was for everyone who had suffered abuse etc.

Of course they did it to get sympathy votes. Its funny cos little mix fans were saying misha was using the sympathy vote last week and now their very own little mix did the same. That issue isnt even an issue, and it was an issue that was brought up weeks ago so there was no need to bring it up again, but they planned it and it worked.

Marcus' turn next week to use the sympathy vote

Marcus had the chance to use the sympathy vote this week, and he didnt want to. With the racial abuse he received last week, he would have sailed through to the finals if he had used that, people were quick to assume he would use it as a sob story, but he didnt. Good on him.

I think the song genuinely meant a lot to them, although they probably over-exaggerated it.

I like little mix but if I was a fan as some are on here, I wouldnt want them to win as its a curse. And the winners song has been written by Gary Barlow, now I would put money on that being best suited for Marcus.

Er! No! I voted for them and it's the first time this series. I did it because I believe they have worked the hardest and have the most potential. Do I think they are perfecet? No I don't but I do enjoy watching them and as they have the hardest job of any of the acts they deserve to be there. I also voted for Amelia by the way.

Blatant attempt at a pulll at the heart strings targeting body consious young girls an an attempt to get votes.

I dont really blame the group for this , they just do what they are told, the blame lies at the feet of the XF production team

Yep, and I'm not sure why either, I don't think they need it at all, if I were promoting little mix in this competition, I'd be pointing out they are all individually as good vocalists as the solo acts, and the blonde one is the best singer in the competition, she sounds the best on the charity album too, her voice is very suited to recording.

The number of cynical people on this forum never fail to bemuse me. It's quite sad actually.

Yeah that's right, after Sunday I'm voting next week for Kelly now there's a real sobber.

Get real. X Factor has virtaully all its acts shedding tears or exposing their sad life's and soul's. In the melee for attention amongst the Acts, Little Mix seemed genuine and the song obviously pulled memories for some of them. Whilst writing, what are we going to have to do with that Marcus deliberately flashing his little belly to gain votes. Nasty man eh?

There's a couple of really good singers in that group, especially the blonde girl. I like Little Mix.

Yes, it's funny how Misha B was accused of crocodile tears and looking for the sympathy vote when Pick 'n' Mix seem to do it on a regular basis (especially the tubby one) and nobody bats an eye.

If there is a sob story to be told, rest assured, the production team will give it centre stage. That's the way this programme has worked for years and no one should be surprised.

However, you cannot blame the contestants for that and I don't think either Little Mix or Misha are embelishing anything for votes. The judges however, now that's a different matter.............

It is quite clear that some contestants get told behind the scenes to act in a certain way to come across better though. Kitty and Misha in particular, both noticeably changed their whole demeanour as the series progressed. Too late to win enough votes though.
