Olly is a very likeable guy and his music is catchy(to me anyway). I'm glad he's so successful!”

Well said.

Olly is not the greatest singer ever, but he is a good performer; he's confident & he is likeable.

I just don't get why some people feel the need to patronise & insult other people from the anonymity of their computers, just because someone has a different opinion to them.

Mediocre Singer, pretty boy looks, has some charm, associates with Muppets.

The public just like him because he's one of them I suppose. He's very ordinary. Also, the snowball effect of when most are say something's great, the mass sheep just follow suit.

Let me add, I never saw the series he was in. But haven't been impressed by his singing ability at all and never got what all the fuss was about. Very mediocre, to say the least.”

Whilst I have never liked his voice, hes done well out of the opportunity, I think thats great.

For the bolded, he had the misfortune of being in the final with one of the best male vocalists ever to appear on one of these shows, Joe. Yes, Joes a bit dull and all, but he has a wonderful voice, and when they had to sing the same winners song it was a little embarrassing for olly in the comparison in my view, all along the show, he was all about the performance on stage rather than vocal strength, then on the big final night they took that from him and he had to compete with Joe just standing and singing, he couldnt, and to be fair, that wasnt what got him to the final at all anyway.

Murs was bad, seriously bad and he hasn't improved, he must have done some serious arselicking to get the coverage he has because he has nothing to offer that millions of others could not do.

Compared to McElderberry though he is Cliff Richard because he is awful.
