Interesting that he says Lorraine has only had the teddybear for a few weeks!

I agree wholeheartedly with what he says about the editing.

Its not the actual bear its what it represents, I read somewhere that he was given by a friend to replace the one she couldn't stand to be around because of what it meant to her.

Just watching her on 'This Morning' and I truly believe that the bear has more significance on this forum than it does to Loraine.

It's still weird and even disturbing that a 60 year old walks around with a teddy bear, whatever it represents.

Peope think that it's wierd because it's a child's toy. If it were a treasured piece of jewellery or a precious letter then no one would be saying these things.

Ask anyone in the industry and they will say one thing

"Pat Sharp is a lovely guy"

people cope in different ways. who are we to say what is 'weird' and what is 'normal' especially without knowing her story and her feelings about her losses in life.. she seems like a very nice lady to me and i see nothing at all about her behaviour as remotely 'disturbing'.

"Pat believes he was voted out of the hit show because of the way he was portrayed, saying: "I've done a million nice things — but they only show you the 86 horrible things."

what is so funny about this is that this is almost exactly word-for-word what david brent says in 'the office' christmas special. those who have watched it will know exactly what scene i'm referring to. brent/gervais is being deliberately cringey ironic, though. pat is actually serious!

He is very Brent-esque, but the show will be duller without him - cant beleive people like Willy and Chrissie werent up instead of those 2.

I think Pat Sharp is a nice bloke and I do wonder if he threw the challenge so Fatima would win, I am not saying he would have won, but I think after what she had been through he didn't try and that is a gentleman in my eyes.

I have no problem with Lorraine..............but I have a problem with both her reaction to the bear furore and with her mentioning abuse in her interview with Ant & Dec.

I maybe cynical here but I do believe that the Teddy is being used by Lorraine as a prop/platform for a forthcoming 'sensationalised interview' within the next week or so.

I was not pleased with Pat on how he handled the Teddy incident, and yet I do in some way see his point. If the teddy is in some way symbolic to Lorraine then it should be a private matter and her behaviour/interaction with the bear in my opinion is a ploy to garner some sympathy/support.

Do you walk about carrying treasured possessions? I have a few things that I would hate to lose, mostly things given to me by someone who has passed on. I keep them in a special place and look at them when I need to, I don't carry them about so that I could lose them or they would become damaged.

I love Pat Sharpe - we don't see enough of him on tv!! Its a pity he got stuck in there with a bunch of boring old f***s with no sense of humour!!!! The younger members of the group seemed to "get" his personality

me neither.

Very disappointed the trial was between Fatima and Pat. Felt sure it would be between Emily and perhaps Mark or Willy. Who the hell is voting for these people?
