I was wondering if anybody else was fed up with him showing off when the marks do not go his way, to me he is like a child throwing his toys out of the pram.

I think he's marked his card regarding his Strictly contract, which could lead to marriage problems because Olla is clearly a 'stay nice and get on' type, although she did get cross about the dance-off.

I don't enjoy Brendan's heroic defences either.

Harry was very wise to nip Aliona's retorts in the bud at an early stage.

I'm guessing we see only the tip of the iceberg. I reckon the professionals get treated as second class by the entertainers. It's the way our society runs - it's not the product but how you market it that makes the money. And until people value quality over emotional expression ('in my heart he's The Grant') professionals and technicians will be under-rated.

James is like a big kid, exactly the type of man who would seriously irritate me after 10 mins. Wouldn't mind if he left the show to be honest.

It's the rudeness I do not like.
His job is to get marked. I can understand disappointment but to become so rude and agitated that the person you are being marked with becomes visibly uncomfortable is not on.

Maybe his gambit was to get the judges' sympathy vote for the gurnathon later, because they certainly did Alex a favour there.

I agree, I think it's just a persona that he's been lumbered with. It was Brendan's turn to be the Bad Boy for a few years and now it's James' turn.

I do think he has a very dry sense of humour which perhaps doesn't always come across well, but he seems likeable enough to me. I wouldn't mind a twirl with him!

James comes across as extremely competitive.Whether it is meant or not his 'nicey nicey take the mickey out of Alex' comes across as trying to emulate the wonderful partnership Ola and Chris had. Don't get me wrong, they appear to get on much as many of them do, but there appears to be an attempt at over egging it. Then the marks situation. Complaining about the score isn't very 'British' but that may come across better if then they support a couple with a very good score - giving the appearance of 'fairness' all round.

It just comes across as contrived and much of this, I think, is that we now know 'on screen' James and can fathom noticeable changes.

Brendan is different. To be honest he has never changed. What he does now is what he has always done. That's why he comes across as less contrived.

I have a feeling this is the last year for the Jordan's. The new (or newer) pros are popular and to be honest the Jordan's are getting boring, in my opinion. The fact they have been dropped from the tour says it all.

I hate to say it but I think it's time for Erin and Anton to go as well.

I have never warmed to James. My OH adores Ola and it sickens him that she hooked up with him.

I suspect it's exaggerated for panto effect if not completely contrived but it's no less irritating for that.

He's no doubt playing up to his 'part' but, as with Brendan in the past, rather charmlessly and not altogether convincingly.

To me he comes across as very rude and obviously does'nt care what effect his behaviour has on his partner. Banging through the doors in a strop, he's like a spoilt naughty child and I would'nt like to be looking after him.

I liked him last year with Pamela...just not liking him at all this year. I think this is his last year.

To me, he gets very frustrated with Craig's marks and comments as he consistently undermarks Alex - I'm not sure if that's because he doesn't like James or what.

It's noticeable that James & Ola were told they weren't wanted on the Live Tour after Craig was announced as the Tour Director.

I quite like James. Yes, I think that he should perhaps try to restrain himself from ‘biting‘ so much at the judge‘s criticism, but I just see that as him being passionate about his work. He is obviously a fantastic teacher - just look at the progress that Alex has made since the series opener - and I think that he feels quite protective towards her. He has a very dry, dead-pan wit, which appeals to the Brit in me. I personally hope that he does come back next year.

well first the judges give their opinion to the celeb dance ...not the professional one i have not heard any judge yet saying well to me James you didnt kick high enough in your jive or didnt straight your legs in the cha cha ...they always talk how the celeb has coped so the pros shouldnt take it personally

if there would be nothing to judge about then why bother dance? if the pros think that they have done so well why not go to Tess area directly and no judgement would be necessary?

really they should be more humble and take notice of what the judges say to actually improve for the following week.

I think Craig was Tour Director last year as well though and the Jordans were on that tour. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes Craig was Tour Director last year as well, but James hadn't gone into melt down with the judges last year - that seems to have happened this year more than ever and it appears to have got really personal between James and Craig. Just saying.....

well it seems as if he'd swap roles with Brendan as this year the "bad boy" has turned to be very happy and cheerful and takes critisism very well

Normally I would agree, and put it down to the spur of the moment. But he was clearly *pis**d off when he walked out of the back door, Alex looked like she was trying to appease him but he wasn't having any of it, he surely is aware the cameras film that moment and still he behaves like a child.

Who is the contestant here? He really hasn't done Alex any favours.

YES!!!!!!! The man needs to grow up, act his age and accept criticism gracefully

Pure and simple, he's a a**e hole. And in case anyone is worried - of course the missing letters are b & e = able. Right?

I'm surprised most people appear to think it's all genuine. I think it's all part of the general "dumbing down". Len calls Craig a "silly sod", James has a strop, Ola walks off in a huff, does Chelsee fancy Pasha, how many sexual innuendos can Bruno come up with every week...

It's all an act. I think he fills the role just as the BBC wants. Some of the professionals, "off the dance floor" are probably perceived as rather boring. I think he's likely to be back next year.
