X Factor Winners, Were never in the Bottom 2
Mediapro
28-11-2011
Steve, Shayne, Leona, Leon, Alexandra, Joe and Matt were never in the Bottom 2.

....So will Marcus / Little Mix be the ones to take the crown?
or will Amelia / Misha B break tradition?

Alexandra was in the bottom 3 in one week so I do think the tradition can be broken if an act can gather momentum as the show goes on. I think it is too late for Misha to be able to do it though and Amelia missed so many weeks where she could have been building a fanbase, she will be 3rd at best.

Not according to Wikipedia [and I don't see why someone would bother editing fake results on it]:

We can go on with ever kind of characteristic about individuals if we want but we could be here all day. 2 things for you bumble:-

1. Agreed Misha was by far the best on Saturday Night no doubt she can sing. While Kitty had too much personality and people found her annoying, Misha has zero personality, when Dermot interviews her she can barely make out a few sentences.

2. If Misha B or Amelia don't win - who cares? JLS, Olly Murs, One Direction have all proven you don't have to win and in some cases be just as successful as the winners of their series.

Fair enough, brainfade on my part obviously.

But my point still kind of stands, Alex was 6th in week 1 and 7th in week 2. In week 4, she got just 8.82% of the vote, when Austin got 6.86% and ended up in the bottom 2. She turned from being fodder that was quite lucky not to be in the bottom 2 early on to winning

Count me out with your sabotage theory. I just do not like either Misha or Amelia, full stop.

She still was never there though [even if, yes, she had some lucky escapes early on - a complete flipside to Matt in the last series who topped the votes every week].

Misha's being there thrice.

Her chances of winning went up in smoke the second she ended up there in my eyes [though despite not being a fan of her at all, I think not winning would be a blessing for her and her fans tbh - same with Marcus, who I do like].

I wouldn't be surprised if Little Mix had a similar journey to Alex with their positions, so maybe they will sneak it off series favourite Marcus?

They're not really comparable, though. Correlation does not equal causation and all that.

Being in the bottom two implies you are not getting a large share of the votes. Not getting enough votes is a direct cause of not winning the competition. Therefore, ending up in the bottom two can infer that your voting percentage is not high enough to make a win.

Being a black man or in a group, however, does not imply that your voting percentages are low. In fact, it doesn't imply anything about voting numbers or patterns. The correlation does not infer that one is the cause of the other.
