It looks much the same, the slanted part of the window seems a little bit wider.

Lol, the pub looks a bit more like a real life pub with two windows like that, looks wider (Intrestingly in the early days, the Rovers was Woolpack sized)

just a question, what exactly is that viaduct (or archway) next to the rovers return? There is no Tram going across it, and there are houses opposite Coronation Street at the back. I never got what its purpose was.

Oh this reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask. I'm watching the 60s boxset atm and was surprised to see that the Mission's hall was next to the Rovers. There is no sign that it was ever there now, was the viaduct we see now always meant to have been behind it?
This is a picture of the Victoria Street entrance from a later episode http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__...hall_front.JPG I hope that on the new set the make Viaduct Street look better |

I have to wonder, on the new set, will they still have areas like these
(Police station) http://i41.tinypic.com/2csdq0w.jpg Town center/tram stop (Also has been used as Davenports, and a Strip club exterior) http://i1.cdnds.net/11/27/550w_soap_blog_100711_4.jpg |

Could've added some characters to the Street, with them living around the back. |

didn't know that was a set, they could of spruced it up abit and used it more often and made weatherfield seem abit bigger
They should use it more often; given that the characters must use the tram to get around. That's one thing I'm surprised was used in the location of the new set, a proper working tram line. |

There's a door to the right of the Rovers entrance that I don't recall ever seeing on screen. Is it a side passage between the Rovers and Barlows?
I also don't remember seeing it on a plan that somebody posted here a few months ago ![]() Has been boarded up for a while now; and you are right, it doesn't appear in the new set plans. Edit: found a link! http://www.geolocation.ws/v/W/4d9932...tion-street/en |

Just had a quick look on Google Street View and you can see 'Davenports' from Quay Street, near the entrance to the former Studios Tour.
They should use it more often; given that the characters must use the tram to get around. That's one thing I'm surprised was used in the location of the new set, a proper working tram line. is this the area? its not verry clear though. |

http://binged.it/uIJ5yR If you look at the Bonded Warehouse where the stairs with the canopy is, that would be the area used for Izzy's mugging. Funnily enough, the original outdoor set for Coronation St. was erected around that part of the Studios. And if you go to around 19 minutes into the following video; there's a shot of the inside of Davenports: http://youtu.be/cyDLWgYjmGM |

I wish they'd get a move on with building it. This seems to have been going on for ever!
I had hoped this was a chance to make the sets more realistic and life sized but from what I've read from Phil Collinson - it's not changing at all and they are only re- building the set that they currently have. I thought there would be at least another street or two. Think of all the possibilities that could be featured regularly:- - the Weatherfield Arms - frescos/ precinct - Bessie St school - all the neighboring streets - weather field Quay |

I hope they make the houses less Toytown and hope there will be room for expansion. So the Rovers backroom on Rosamund St will be sorted out finally
