Nearly missed this! Thanks

Looks like the facade for Mawdsley Street is going up at a rate of knots. Hard to make out much else.

Can see the steel structure for the Rosamund Street viaduct

Most of the links on here go to a site where the pics have been removed. Anyone know where these set pics can be viewed?

I think that they're long gone, unfortunately

ITV requested those pics to be removed from that site I think

I think we'll not see any more from the new set until it's complete. The pictures that were removed from the forum are proof enough that ITV are doing all they can to keep things under wraps.

That said, I know that Pyramidbread has super powers and can make anything happen

Those pictures are from different angles because in the second one, you can see the second building in the background which on the first one is on the right.

One of Coronation Street's new studio buildings is being pulled down and rebuilt after a problem with the construction of a roof.

(Corrie Builders Owen and Jason weren't involved were they ? )

http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereven...ebuilt?rss=yes

“Construction of the main building and the Coronation Street lot, continues uninterrupted, as does production of the show at the current Quay Street site and we remain on track to begin ITV’s move to the new MediaCityUK base in the autumn.”

So it's moved to this time next year now? A bit of a kerfuffle

am really liking the photos of the new set and of the current set. When I was at the gates in July I heard that they would start filming at the new set in September 2013 but with the recent problems it might be pushed back towards the winter.

I'm starting to come up with all sorts of conspiracy theories about the new set.

Could it be possible that Corrie is being lined up for a fall?

Could more cock ups mean that the Street ends up without a street?

I'm concerned that Stewart Blackburn as I thought Phil Collinson would remain firmly at the helm of Corrie to oversee the set move. I know that Collinson is staying with ITV, but I would've expected him to have kept a close eye on the move.

I'm worried.

Don't be worried. 'Coronation Waste Ground' has a nice ring to it.

It'd be quite a change of dynamic

Stella could take people behind an old oil rum and we'd have to rename ourselves Rubbleheads

It's due to the cock ups that Phil is going earlier than planned, he planned to leave next summer, but the cock ups mean he'd have to stay til this time next year

The 1982 set was a massive improvement on the late '60s outdoor set. The old set had no chimneys, and if you watch the 1976 episode in which Minnie Caldwell's house goes up for sale, you will see (closing credits) Emily's bedroom curtains blowing in the breeze and a glimpse of grey sky and scaffolding behind that window! I have the Granada Plus repeat on DVD and this is absolutely true. The sets always had reality problems - the Rovers Select/loos/living room for starters, but the Rosamund Street viaduct really took things over the top.

Sorry, meant to end:

I can't believe the Rosamund Street viaduct is being replicated on the new set. When it did first arrive? It wasn't there in the 1980s.
