Something Pobol y Cwm now does is use the actual set buildings for interior filming - so the shop, the salon and the cafe interiors are actually shot on the external set which really adds to the realism. Anyone know if this is something planned by Corrie?”
Some of the locations on the current set are 'real' - the medical centre, kebab shop, butchers' and the bookies.
I'd definitely like to see more sets on the 'real' backlot though.

The only set I really wouldn't like to see in the exterior set is The Kabin, which has always had that false orange studio lighting for as long as I can remember.

Great suggestions - I think that the salon would really benefit from being on the backlot, ditto to the cafe.
As for the Kabin, I share the same opinion as you! It's always looked like a fake set since it was redesigned around 2000. Up until then the Kabin had always been one of the most realistic sets in the show, now it's appalling.
