Wow, thanks for that video... I wasn't expecting the new set to look as good as it does! Look at the view behind Alan Halsall - I actually thought it was the Quay Street set for a minute...
![]() I'm a bit puzzled at to why they have recreated the Stage One building behind the arches but I can forgive that for the moment. It's all looking brill so far. ![]()

Some fantastic shots have appeared on flickr
http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3806/9...8b5d39ff_k.jpg http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3674/9...1887f68a_k.jpg Looks like Victoria Court is much bigger than it used to be. |

Looking at that Victoria Court picture, it looks like Victoria Street ends at Victoria Court now, and a different street goes down in between.

wonder why the butchers is not parallel with the café like on the current set
the bookies building looks massive as well going to look very grand when finished and lots of space to expand as well |

Look at that second photo - that annoying pointless viaduct certainly makes no sense now, as either end are buildings - one even has a door on to the viaduct! They should have kept this turkey out of the rebuild plans!
I can't believe the fake window at the back of The Rovers is still there too. D'oh! Otherwise they are great pictures and the ITV video really shows up how tiny the Quay Street set is! |

there's plenty of space to make that fake side into a full building, thought they would do that
and the fake viaduct looks even sillier now, maybe they had to build an exact, but bigger, replica for now, they can amend things later as the have the space to extend rosamund street past the rovers now |

It's really silly that they've spent all this money on a new set yet didn't bother to fix the things that don't make sense. |

It'd be hilarious after, when they built it all, all the actors were just like 'nah, we'll stay at the current site
' and refused to move xD

Yes. Why is there a window in that wall beside the viaduct?

New video clip. Not sure if this has been shown on here yet. ![]() I am, however, extremely disappointed that they have recreated the same inaccuracy on Viaduct Street where the arches just end suddenly. Absolutely pathetic. In the original plans, it looked as if they were going to correct that fault by having the arches end at the MoSI backdrop. But it would appear not. ![]() The rest of it looks fab though... and Victoria Street looks less cramped by Victoria Court, at last! |

Victoria Street is looking great, also, I notice there's a new building next to the builders yard. Picture edit: Yep, deffo going to be an open arch, not a random stop http://i.imgur.com/8o8ZqIf.png New flats next to builders yard/Victoria Court. http://i.imgur.com/b7AQpOQ.png |

Those flats are already there on the current set, they are part of Victoria Court.

, this is what it looks like on the current sethttp://farm9.staticflickr.com/8074/8...0cbce463_b.jpg It's interesting how big Victoria Court is now, there's like a whole new block just past the part we're used to seeing. http://i.imgur.com/0xrks30.png Compared to how big it is now http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8234/8...54c705cf_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8082/8...7f9e89ed_b.jpg The gardens finally look a good size, on the current set they are minute http://i.imgur.com/LeWnky0.png Current set (old photo) http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3532/3...7d1_z.jpg?zz=1 |

I'm not sure, but I think I can see a frame between the viaduct and the brewery, its possible they could build an open arch there.
Picture edit: Yep, deffo going to be an open arch, not a random stop http://i.imgur.com/8o8ZqIf.png ![]() I was so annoyed thinking they were going to recreate that awful random stop on the new set!! I remember when David went through his original "demon" years and they had him stood on top of a roof, and you could clearly see the arches ending suddenly. ![]() Considering how much I've hated Victoria Court, I'm actually quite loving how they're constructing it on the new set. Those new flats are a nice touch, too. |

I wonder what they'll do for these sets at the new set?
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7404/9...07a980a9_b.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6uEtiqhPbC...600/police.png Perhaps they'll use the area behind Victoria Street? |

I always said they should build a separate little high street with these extra buildings on it. They could even have the outside of a club, a schoolyard and the front of Freshco's. It would be brilliant to see the characters meet anywhere else apart from just the Street area. I don't know how feasible any of that is...but it would help them avoid having to go on location, which we know costs money.

On these 'tight' press shots it's very hard to tell. Wonder if they will be cautious with the wide shots during the crossover period? So far, so good! |
