Pretty sure we saw the new Rovers back room set tonight.

highly likely as we are seeing more new sets and should see the new outdoor set in action next week

was that the new outdoor set at the end of the 8:30 episode, with two cars passing?

I dont think it was yet, I notice they've had a lot of cars passing each other recently, most likely so that its not as obvious when they switch over. A preview clip for next Friday shows the Granada exterior still, so I dont think we will see the new set until the week after, I think once a new set is shown, they wont show the old one again.

It looks like it from that image? I reckon The Rovers Return will still have it's removable walls by the darts board, the pub's telephone and also where the punters sit in the booths.

According to the TV Mag in today's Sun they reckoned they will be able to film inside The Rovers on the backlot?

But this image from The Independent suggests to me it'd still be too small?

I've just caught up with last night's episodes and I'm really pleased with the interior sets!

Can't get over the difference in size (particularly the Grimshaws and Fiz's old house.)

they are noticeably larger aren't they, look more like real houses now, not something small enough to fit in your bathroom.

I guess the other houses are resized the same, we've only seen 5, 6 and 11 so far so it will be a while before they've all made an appearance, probably a few years before we see the super sized Emily's house

Didn't Emily mention re-decorating? I sort of assumed that's because they were going to show her house

Watching the first half of Coronation Street there's a brand new door where the cameras would've shot back at Granada Studios!

Does that mean the "door" where the stairs to the flat above is gone?

Inside The Rovers was looking awesome tonight... and Peter & Carla's flat never had the bedroom at Quay Street surely... Looking good, can't wait to see the external set soon!

It did have a bedroom on the set tour video on youtube. But they reused the same bed etc for all bedroom scenes anytime they were required.
