Hi, I'm just looking online to get someone a purse/wallet (a female) and am really confused about what the difference is between a "French" and "Continental" purse is. I've read the descriptions and looked at the pictures but I'm still none the wiser. It's probably not remotely important, but what on Earth does it mean? I've never come accross this distinction between wallets before

French ones are typically sleek, fancy and concise.
