I have them here now. I was suspecting mux A given the late night update which they've done a number of times in the past!

Either that, Radio Times Extra or GuidePlus+ I'd have thought.

which was tweeted 24 minutes ago by Chrisy. The OP posted before 6pm, so there was no info prior to that. I tweeted it about 7pm.

I would assume Connect 1,2 and 3 are something to do with Connect on channel 111.

Since my tuner is not HD therefore the HD channels do not show up, Connect is a Freeview HD channel coming soon shouldn't be shown!

It's a service transmitted over DVB-T that only boxes with the Freeview HD spec can use, but as it's transmitted via DVB-T, all receivers get it. I suppose if a manufacturer built a DVB-T (standard Freeview) box with the relevant specs for IPTV services like Connect (i.e. the Freeview HD specs without the DVB-T2 element), it could be possible without a Freeview HD box. I don't think that will happen.

Do any of these work other than Sports Tonight? It seems like they have loads of these channels, but only one works and in all fairness the content on Sports Tonight Live is limited.

If there has been any other content (apart from the one boxing match from BoxNation), I think it's missed us!

It has great potential, but whether or not it will take off remains to be seen.

I know it needs some sports content. Im surprised someone like Sky hasnt tried to get onto the freeview platform this way. You could have Sky channels offered in this way or loads of different channels and numbers, all working on the IPTV way, however the customer just types in a number and gets a picture.

These new ipTV channels are owned by the same company that uses the Mux D ones, VISION, CONNECT & STREAM, namely Reach TV.

There are enough null packets (500kbps) on Mux A for them to start now assuming that they too will be sharing a 24kbps bit stream.

They are not HD channels; they are a single data feed that allows broadband ipTV into your Freeview box or TV. Only HD boxes have the necessary software to process the incoming broadband ipTV signal via the ethernet socket. The ipTV is SD but could be HD in future.

Are all ipTV channels going to be labelled in upper case?

Would be nice if they'd got CONNECT running before starting up CONNECT 1, CONNECT 2 and CONNECT 3. Why all the CONNECTs? Are they going to put individual channels on each LCN? Why use mux A for this when they could have had more LCNs added to mux D, given that they are sharing one data stream?

Dodgy branding practices from a few years back. Most other channels have stopped doing that now, but BBC ONE is still BBC ONE, even though BBC One HD is BBC One HD.

I think VISION is getting two or three.

Why use mux A for this when they could have had more LCNs added to mux D, given that they are sharing one data stream?

I think that 24kbps is maxed out with three LCNs and Arqiva have no more spare bitrate. SDN has at least 500kbps spare.
