I notice with the high fees on ebay an Iphone 4 16GB is worth £230 on Envirophone and around £270 on ebay but by the time you count fees I bet it's cheaper to take a low price on Envirophone. Gum Tree prices can be lower as little as £200 as there's more bargains on there.

I would probably still use Ebay but in terms of making more cash there seems to be little between the values of the phones.

I've noticed Apple stuff go up on price on ebay as Christmas gets closer though. I also recently sold a Galaxy S on ebay and sold for £150 just checked Envirophone and it's £130.07 which is the same I got once ebay fees were taken off. So maybe the dilemma is who do you want to pay your fees to? a mobile phone cheap seller, ebay where the fees are massively high or give it as a bargain on Gum Tree.

What's everybody elses thoughts?

I used http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/pho...bile-recycling to compare offers from various "recycling" outfits. But some seem to have a reputation for not paying the quoted amount, so that might be worth considering.

CEX sometimes trump many of the recycling firms.

Just seen one of the recycling quote me around £175 for a Nokia 8800 Arte, and then only £40 for a Nokia N900 ?!? Looks like I'm keeping the N900 ... but the Arte is gonna be sent off

Yes, I sold an iPhone 3G to CEX recently for the best part of £150. That's more than twice what the likes of Envirofone were offering.

I've used O2 Recycle for selling 4 different phones now and they've always paid very quickly and reliably. You don't have to be an O2 customer to use them. I got a good price for my iPhone 4 and whilst I might have got more from eBay, by the time I'd paid the fees and gone through the potential hassle of non-payers, I just felt that it would be easier to go with O2 Recycle. I applied to sell on Saturday and the money was in my bank by the following Friday!
