However I don't see any issues with saying a bit more about the show, what dances they did etc which I hope is OK to post.

Firstly it was a FANTASTIC show. we had front row seats and it was an AMAZING experience. Here's what they did:

Simon Webbe and Katya - Cha, Cha, Cha
Debra Stephenson and Ian - American Smooth
Su Pollard and Anton - Foxtrot
Barry McGuigan and Erin - Quickstep
Charlie Brooks and Vincent - Jive

The standard of the celebrity dancers was much higher than we expected. Considering the limited training time they were good and VERY, VERY good in some cases.

The professionals opened the show and revealed their celebs in Christmas fashion, similar to last year. All the remaining celebs (including Anita) were in the audience and danced at the end with the professionals. The judges also got up and joined in the fun at the end!

Russell and Flavia did a few cameos throughout the show which were hilarious and I'm sure will go down well.

Miss World from Venezuela was on the front row and was introduced by Brucie before recording started, along with his wife. Both stunning! (The girls that is!). John Culshaw, plus Duncan and Anthony from Blue, Brendan and Nancy were also in the audience.

The only disappointment was the guest artist (despite rumours of Michael Buble!!) being Shakin' Stevens. For such a high profile Christmas Day show, Beeb could and should have done better.

Anyhow a good time was had by all and I'm sure it will be a hit on Christmas Day.”

Thank you. I cant wait to see it.

Thanks for coming on to give a report on the Christmas Special, strictly12345.

I enjoyed reading it, and now i'm really looking forward to watching it for myself

I just have two comments:

1. Oh dear, Shakin Stevens? Why?.........

and

2. Why didn't you cross your fingers behind your back when promising not to tell the result? You could then have come on here and told us with a clear conscience!

Thanks from me too for a great report and I'm looking forward to seeing the show now!

Shakin' Stevens is okay, but give me Michael Bublé any day!

Thanks for the report, strictly12345, it sounds great, the only things I'm not looking forward to are Russell (WHY?!), and Shakin' Stevens (again WHY?!), but they seem to be only small parts of the show, I hope.

One of my friends at work went but I haven't seen them yet to interrogate....I am not sure I will if the audience were pleaded not to leak it, maybe they were all hypnotised?!

I have now been furnished with the spoiler... but I am scared of posting it here as it will be completely public and everyone seems to be doing a good job of not talking about it... so I might say PM me if you really really really want to know

That sounds a really good idea - if you don't mind the extra work.

Am not sure if I want to know or not (even though I normally do)!

I read that Marc Elliot (Syed), the guy who plays Michael and Jo Joyner (Tanya) were there in the audience.

Supercell, could you possibly PM me the result please?

(I think I know who would have won - tis an audience vote after all, just want to see if my suspicions are confirmed)

Supercell To save yourself lots of extra work why not put the result in a spoiler tag on this thread....then people can choose to open the tag or not....that way your can feel you havent let the side down so to speak..

Agree...

Put the result in a spoiler tag... (although the fact the title of the thread has SPOILER in it... gives some indication that anyone who come in would want to know.

As the Christmas show is a one-off and still some three weeks away, I wouldn't post a spoiler yet. I know the producers are desperately hoping it won't be posted on any internet forum and as yet, those who were in the audience or belong to the team are upholding that request.

As soon as you do, as you said yourself, it will quickly spread.

The live shows are different as there's only 24hrs inbetween.
