Don't get me wrong, I think she seems like a nice down-to-earth girl with natural talent, and clearly has a genuine relationship with Pasha. But from recently looking at these forums for the first time this season and on the bbc website, she seems to have at least 10x more posts than her nearest rivals. Just wondering, why?

If you go by youtube viewings, Harry's street ahead of most others in most weeks. Why?

Straight answer. Round my way she's not.

I've been wondering about this, too! I've never disliked a Strictly contestant more . (Except Nancy, but luckily I've nearly forgotten about her by now!)

shes really good her argentine tango was fantastic but I went off her the night her boob almost fell out her dress as she sat in a huff the full night and was caught a few times scowling at others when they ran up the stairs to the rest of the dancers.. someone had to nudge her when they saw they were on camera to clap for others.

She looked a bit odd on Saturday.
In close up with her hair pulled back and that eye make-up, she reminded me a bit of Lt. Kif Kroker from Futurama.

Can't stand her myself. Face like a slapped arse. Then she opens her mouth.

simple answer, a lot of people who frequent these forums and the BBC forums must like her (and take the time to post/chat about her)

I'm sure the other contestants have good fanbases too but perhaps they just don't bother to post on the net

like has been said, Harry has a lot of youtube views ... so obiviously his supporters frequent youtube a lot and like watching the videos

I don't think internet popularity or youtube views can be a totally accurate measure of popularity but I'm sure both Chelsee and Harry do have a decent fanbase as they're still in the competition (plus of course they are usually near the top of the judges scoreboard)

I'm also sure that Chelsee's popularity is boosted by having Pasha as a partner

They're my favourite couple now inspite of me not being that interested in Chelsee when she first was announced as being on the show ..... she won me over with her dancing over the first couple of weeks and I like her partnership with Pasha ........ and he's also very hot which isn't a bad thing

Wow. I am seeing some fangs coming out in full force. This only means one thing: we are nearing the end of SCD, so knives are out now...

That definitely does make sense!

I suppose you can't really read anything into it, But, on another note, you would think that the people who take time to post on forums probably take the time to vote too?

In fairness, if you read my post, you'd see I quite like Chelsee

I mean that to the previous poster too, but I still can't the hang of quoting more than once, even after 4 years!

No, I think you'll see 'Harry is Boring', and 'Jason is Desperate' threads more like. Or both of them being called 'Smug'.

but posting on forums and clicking on youtube links is free .. voting isn't

I've posted on the Strictly, X Factor and Dancing on ice forums for years but I don't vote every year .. it all depends on if I have a real favourite or not .. and even then I don't vote multiple/stupid amounts of times

I don't know...personally I think making hundreds of posts about your favourite couple is a huge investment -time is precious! The logic follows that if you're prepared to invest that much in a couple, you may be more inclined to vote.
I know that's true for me, it may not be for others

Her voice gets on my nerves, it is so common

Perhaps unfairly, I was ready to hate Chelsee when I first saw her on the launch show (never watched Waterloo Road), but over the weeks she's really grown on me. She's sweet and modest when it comes to her dancing ability, and her relationship with Pasha is adorable. You can see that they genuinely get on and like each other. The pro dancer always influences my favourite, and Pasha has been a great addition to the show.

I like her because she is sweet, she is a natural dancer and she has hot partner with whom she has a lovely relationship. Plus she is on the short side and with curves so I identify with her way of dancing.

I doubt that she's more popular than the remaining men and personally I don't expect her to make the final, because I fear she'll lose her nerve and wobble at the last hurdle. Hope I'm wrong. I don't mind who wins, but I would like her to make the final.

But for me, she's (going on what we've seen so far) the most exciting and surprising dancer in it this year, although not the most consistent. And she's honest, funny, sweet, flawed, unpredictable and has a good relationship with Pasha. I find it very hard to say why I like one couple more than another, but I have become very invested in Chelsee - I feel more cheerful if I feel she's doing well. Something about her makes me identify with her.

She's a genuine tryer, and a genuine humble one too. Traits which endeared me to Kara last year...

She wears her heart on her sleeve and endears herself to many people the way she's approaching the competition. She's loving every minute of it and gaining a whole wealth of stuff from being there. She also is embracing the fact that's she's even there in the first place and so wants to give back to the fans by learning the dances to the best of her ability and going out on Saturday evenings and performing the dances amazingly well.

I hope her Jive with Pasha will get 10s on Saturday but even if they don't, I'm certain she'll have given her best and he will be so proud of her.
