Strange that I've disliked her from the start then.

Actually, I don't dislike her as a person. I don't know what she's like as a person. But I don't especially like her dancing, and when that's combined with the way the show tries to make out she's twice as good / talented / capable as anyone else, it irritates me.

(An example being Karen saying Chelsee's choreography had twice as much in it as anyone else's and that it was proper dance moves like the professionals did rather than ones that only looked right superficially like what the others supposedly get.)

You've answered, your own Question.

Wasn't expecting to like Chelsee, after seeing the line up, I had never heard of her, but from the start, I've thought she could win this....and i hope she does.

Heavens! Where does Karen say that, please?

In the most recent Saturday's red button commentary.

And you have problems with Karen's comments that Chelsee was NOT doing moves that pros would do on Wembley week and this is Chelsee problem how?

Thanks Veri.
Haven't heard that yet. Am dopily pleased, which probably isn't what you were aiming for but thanks!

I can't quite parse that sentence.

However, I think my post was pretty clear. If I had wanted to say something different (which you seem to be wanting me to do now), I would have.

I don't mind if people are pleased. I'm just a bit sorry I've deleted my recording of it, because if I still had it, I could give a more exact quote.

I know you said you don't dislike Chelsee personally but finds her irritating because pros who should know what they are talking about like Karen said Chelsee had a lot of moves choreographed into her Samba and she coped with it on Wembley week.

I don't see how that could have made you get irritated by Chelsee? After all she doesn't have control over what other pros are saying about her clearly visible dance talent.

all is good with that girl right up to the moment that she opens her mouth!

She's a good dancer and a really unassuming down to earth person. I think Harry is slightly more popular though overall.

I don't know whether Karen's comments were about the Samba or Wembley Week.

But I didn't say I was irritated by Chelsea. I said it was the combination of not especially liking her dancing and the praise that was being heaped on her that irritates me.

Consequently, I don't like having her in the show as a contestant.

Okay, I understand now.

Chelsee is my favourite, but I think the voting is going to be along gender lines and Harry is going to win this year.

didn't have a clue who she was until it started but is now my favourite. I enjoy her dancing more than the others and think with a bit of confidence and passion she could be up there with alesha, kara and jill for me

harry and jason are both good dancers too but I don't find them as exciting to watch as Chelsee

I want chelsee to win but I wouldn't mind either of them winning

BIB: definitely the key. I still think she is geniunely shocked to receive the marks she does and combined with the public support, she can't quite believe she's still there. Also, she's still looking to Pasha to make sure she's making the correct assessment of her progress which of course gives Pasha a reason to talk but she's so careful not to heap too much of a good appraisal on herself as not to embarrass herself in front of Pasha (and the rest of us) but also as Pasha is her teacher, he's the one who is able to tell her (and us) how far she's really come.

To answer the question, I think Chelsee is the one who can surprise us. So far she's only had 12 hours a week to train, or, the one week she's had free of her day job, she ended up with flu. When she's healthy and free to train, she could be terrific. She's already very good.

Not sure the others have that potential take-off-ability.

Plus many find her down to earth nature appealing.

I think they've praised her "talent" so much that she can't surprise us, only disappoint if she keeps failing to live up to what they've said about her.

If she was any sort of actress she would've/should've done a far better job of the AT. Mind you Waterloo Road is hardly BAFTA award winning stuff

I know nothing about Chelsee other than bits of Waterloo Road, so its just face value as I guess it is with alot of the audience. And she just comes across as a bit naieve and stumbling in the showbiz world, eager to please , even a bit girl next door. And without any other information to change that view I think that endears her to the public.
Her voice gets on my nerves, it is so common
Eeh bah gum, nowt wrong with a strong Northern accent. Joost ask are Tess.

Seriously though, who defines common? We don't all have the good fortune to be Home Counties and speak with plums in our mouths.

I remember a friend of my mum's who walked up the parth, to have a barth, cut herself and needed a plarster..... my mum asked her what did Jesus ride into Nazareth on ? Correct answer an ass
