The thing is; Jess was a nice person with a boyfriend who she obviously loves. Emily has a fauxmance which the producers love. It's a no-brainer really who would they edit to stay. When I saw Emily doing the celebrity chest again, and kissing Mark goodbye I knew she was safe. The producers will keep her in long enough to try and convince us that there really is something going on and then she'll go. Leaving a heart-broken Mark being comforted by that louse Antony all the way to the final. You really couldn't make it up, could you.

I honestly thought Willy or Chrissy would have gone before Jesse. But there you go.

Totally agree, she is a lovely girl, one of the nicest people in there this year. I love her and Dougie but as I have not been voting I can't complain! But why she went before Emily I dont know. I would imagine that a lot of people that like her thought that many others would be voting for her anyway and did not bother!

I think Emily benefited from a bounce back vote after being in danger the night before. It's something which often happens in Strictly Come Dancing, ie. immediately after someone has been in the bottom two, viewers who want that person to stay are alerted into making more of an effort to keep them in. By contrast a certain complacency probably came into play in respect of Jessica.

Both Jess and Emily are both gorgeous looking and have come across as extremely nice, genuine, well-mannered and good-natured people, very careful not to say anything contentious or get on the wrong side of anyone and neither have they demonstrated much ability to be funny and make people laugh ... so on TV this makes them very BLAND ... hence goodbye Jess

Oh wash your mouth out, how could you suggest such a thing. Just because Jessica is out and Emily and Anthony are still in and we can't understand why, doesn't mean the vote is rigged does it????

I knew she wouldn't outlast Mark, Anthony and Dougie but I really thought she'd outlast Crissy, Willy and Emily. She probably wouldn't have outlasted Fatima (who think in turn will probably come second to Mark and Dougie, maybe even Anthony). but I'm sure Jess contributed more to the camp than Crissy or Emily? Emily mainly just smiled and spoke minimally, and, Crissy just giggled and smiled similarly too. Nice people I suppose but I'm sure Jess said more than the two of them put together. After the interview with Ant and Dec it seemed even more strange that she had gone. Well, at least she looked happy to be out in the arms of the hairdresser guy on the companion show.

I wonder if the friendship with Pat didn't help her cause, as sometimes association to a very unliked campmate doesn't help your own cause. I know Anthony is perfecttly unlikeable but I think people want to keep him and his associations (i.e. Mark and Dougie) in because of this bromance triangle that ITV are playing out. And plus I think it pays to be a brat like Anthony because while it's annoying, some find it very entertaining too. But why people have picked up the phone to vote for people such as Crissy and Emily is beyond me.

I was surprised she went, she is such a nice girl. However it isn't always down to being nice. I mean - Lorraine was nice and she has gone. I just suppose there are stronger characters with bigger fan bases. Emily is lovely too but not that well known, especially here in the UK, so it won't be long before she is out.

Forgettable in the long run, she wont be one of the ones we remember when we think back on this series in 6 months time.
