I think the swap could work well. Nicole isn't as 'in your face' American as Kelly is.
Simon, Louis, Nicole and Cheryl could work...but I wonder if people will still care about Cheryl this time next year.

Ironically, 14 months ago everyone was gushing about how great Nicole was on UK XF and how she should replace Cheryl. I guess the grass IS always greener on the other side.

Kelly is IMO an exceptional judge. Great personality, provides good feedback (to other judges' acts, of course), beautiful and relevant. What's not to like? Hope she finds her way to our show.

I could see Kelly going to USXF (provided Mariah doesn't want the job). But I don't think that Simon will take another chance on Nicole and put her on the UKXF. Simon has been silent on all the negative comments about Nicole but he has to know that he made a HUGE mistake hiring her. I doubt that he will make the same mistake twice.

The general view on the DS forums is that Nicole isn't liked. However I think people forget that the DS forums are British and only a very small percentage of the total population. From what I can gather, Nicole is relatively well liked by the majority of US viewers. One of the top rated comments I saw on Youtube said she was actually one of the most popular judges. While I agree her crying is annoying I think it may be due in part to her recent break up with Lewis Hamilton. If I was Simon I would give her another chance next year and tell her what she needs to improve on. If that doesn't work out then maybe she should be let go. As it is, I don't think it would be that hard for someone to approach her and say "Stop crying so much. It's annoying". On the subject of her comments, they seem about as knowledgeable as Paula, Cheryl or Even L.A's (recent) comments. People just get more annoyed because of the way Nicole words her comments. It's easy to hate, harder to appreciate as these forums prove when they complain about a different judge every year.

Oh I'm sorry. I didn't realize TV viewers and music were related. If you had bothered to read my whole post you would have noticed I was talking about her career as a judge on the X Factor, not her musical career. Which is why I used the word viewers not listeners. If you want to talk about completely unrelated things though we can discuss Louis Walsh's modelling career.

P.S. The Pussycat Dolls were extremely popular in the US with numerous hit singles. Unless Nicole Scherzinger was never a member of that group?

Nicole is a crap judge as is kelly. I hope Danni comes back

Nicole is not liked here in the US. People on the street have NOT taken to her. I do think she'd be more comfortable in the UK, oddly enough.

People wanting Simon back on the UK show are deluded - he's not going to leave the US show, at least not next year.

I thought she was on Britain's Got No Talent?

Nicole is the same every week, if Simon was not happy he would definitely have brought her up on it and made her change her judging style, if it did happen Nicole would be better off, the uk show is vastly superior to the us show in my book, I'd rather have Nicole than Kelly on our show but would be equally happy if she stayed on the us panel

I hope she is, "apparently" she didn't even make the long list, the producers want ronnie Mitchell off eastenders because apparently over 10 million people tuned in to she her each week, lol

I doubt that is true either, it has changed again. Apparently Simon is back and he wants Barbara Windsor on the panel with him, Amanda and David Walliams.

its the age old problem, who else will do it? anyone with a decent music career is too busy. mariah carey is a big ask and hat`s off to simon if he pulls that off. why oh why, he didn't sign katy perry up is beyond comprehension. say what you like about her, but she is selling huge amounts of singles in the us. besides, she has bags of personality and she probably would have altered her plans to accommodate such a role.

if nicole leaves the us panel. what simon needs is someone on the rise profile wise, possibly someone younger that could appeal to the younger audience.

I think Katy was offered the fit but couldn't do it because of her tour, she's way to busy, her career is going really well so can't see her taking 4 months out to do x factor, she'd be brilliant though

I think Katy and Nicki Minaj were both offered the job but turned it down because they were too busy. It's a pity because either of them would be great as judges imo. I guess if I had a choice I'd rather they were making music though.

sorry but that doesn't make sense, in katy`s case anyway. she famously said she would ditch her singing career in favour of a job on american idol. she then told simon on live tv that she was waiting for his call, after her performance on the uk show last year. this year when she performed again, she looked like she had a point to prove.

How about Victoria Beckhman?
She did quite well in AI when she was a guest judge.

Or Shania Twain? Didn't she like win every poll as in who was the best guest judge in 2010?

I guess... but what she's doing now makes her a lot more famous and brings in a lot more money. It's possible she was exaggerating. She didn't really sound like she was serious. I doubt she would chuck in her career to be a reality TV judge despite what she said. Maybe in a few years time when she's had enough of performing, but for now... I highly doubt it. Plus she wouldn't have nearly enough time to fit it in her schedule these days.

If he had any sence, Simon would persue Britney for a roll on USXF; if Nicole were to leave, as she would be on an hiatus after her Femme Fatale tour ends.

Simon, Amanda, Dave Walliams and Windsor sounds like a good panel to me.

Victoria had a few moments during her stint as a guest judge on AI, but I think she would be perceived as far too cold as an XF judge...especially with the mentoring aspect.

Katy would have been perfect. Not sure about Britney because she's a couple of french fries short of a Happy Meal, but she could provide some trainwreck must-see-TV.

I just get the feeling that Victoria is an interesting person in US, so....

And as for Shania Twain. I think she was a good judge, but she also was a good mentor..... (of course that depends how much mentoring the celebguest actually did on AI) But I remember her doing well and every contestant did really well on Shaniaweek
