That's really funny - I was thinking it might be the Welsh thing and even thought you might be anti-Welsh!
My wife is black and her family are always the most critical of other black people who appear on TV as they feel the person is somehow representing them and therefore musn't have any faults or non-black people will think that's what all black people are like!
Have you noticed that when Alex gets stressed the accent gets stronger? When she was having her dressed stitched up before Saturday's dance (as shown on ITT) she was clearly stressed about it and said something with such a strong Welsh accent it was unintelligible!
I've never been a fan of the accent but I find it quite cute on her.

Harry: consistently good and kicked it up a notch with his QS. Rumba will be a real test for him though.
Chelsee: impressed with how she’s coped with the technical stuff. But still frantic at times and performance side a bit undercooked.
Jason: great work ethic. Wish he could just relax and let himself enjoy it a bit more – and then we’d enjoy it a bit more.
Holly: don’t think it did her any favours to be trailed as a hot favourite even before the show started – too many high expectations. But she could still have a Eureka moment on Saturday.
Alex: least naturally gifted of all of them, but IMO she’s probably the most improved dancer – even if it is dancing by numbers.
Robbie: he’s abandoned the dancing and settled for the comedy role. Think the QS might well suit him though.
