How this show has deteriorated

In the beginning there were good characters and good mix went in there and now we have a hairdressers girlriend, a jockey who just sits on his a.se all day, an aussie girl with no personality, a woman who cannot do a task, a diva from a soap and it goes on .. this series finished and is stone dead since Freddie Starr went.

Fatima should win this if there is any justice and Pat Sharp should have been second.

It gets worse every year. ITV's chavtastic fans come out and vote in droves for the contestants only a fool would admire. Look at Joe Swash - THEY did that, they got him a regular gig where his stupid accent and moronic contrariness can madden the world. They probably vote for the Iceland ads to win the BAFTA People's Award.

Um - the hairdresser's GF (or fiance actually) left last night!!

It's what gets shown that gets on my nerves. It's just become another Big Brother.

We used to have the chats around the campfire, general silliness, something that showed the personalities of the people in there. Now it's just any showmance possible, any bitching that may be going on and shots of body parts.

Ho hum. Those were the days when it was a good laugh....and not Ant and Dec doing all their routines!

What do you mean 'now'? You obviously never saw Series 1 (Darren Dork/Tara Palmer-Trumpkinson and Rhona Cameron's 'Sometimes we're. All. Like. That' speech) or Series 3 (Price/Andre). IAC has always focused on the most shallow and vacuous sides of those who go in.

I used to really miss this programme when it finished, like with BB, I felt a bit at a loose end but I really couldn't care less whether this is on or not

I still love Ant and Dec though

I've watched all of them.

Obviously.

There used to be a lot more of the chatting to each other than there is now despite the romances going on in the other series. In this series they are showing us more of Ant and Dec and more of what is being said to camera rather than to each other.

This series has certainly been the poorest in a long time. I do feel however that it doesn't help not having a live feed anymore.

What annoys me about shows like this,is the idiots that ring in and always vote out the argumentative contestants.
They seem to vote as if they are in the camp themselves.
The whole point is to leave the argumentative ppl in there because it will result in a better tv show.
But what always happens...is we end up with a final 4 consisting of bores that just sit there massaging each other all day,and flirting (which might be fun for them, but for the viewers its a huge switch off)
Same thing year in,year out (And it always happened with Big Brother as well)

The show would be better if evictions were done via a head to head bush tucker trial (like Fatima and Pat)

I agree totally with the head to head bushtucker but then they would not get their chosen one so I don't think that will happen only when it suits them to put two threats up

What's missing this year is laughs. When you look back on classic IACGMOH, we've been entertained by the 'older ones', providing much to laugh about, and discuss at work the next day. Everyone seems to shrug their shoulders and seem a bit disinterested about it.

Tits 'n' bums aren't interesting, when you've seen one pair you've seen them all!

Not much different to other years, the camp mates have always been z listers anyway.

You're right of course. We should have got to hear loads of interesting stories from Willy, Fatima etc - we know they took place because they keep getting referred to - but all we get is moaning Cotton in the bush telegraph and shots of bikini-clad babes and fauxmances. ITV are blatantly targeting the lowest common denominator audience now and it's a great shame.

Agree totally with both of you. Based on this series, I'm really not sure I would want to watch another (same applies to X-Factor).
As you say any decent celebs with a modicum of wit & intelligence (such as Pat) quickly get voted out & we get stuck with the dim-wits. Plus:-
The format has become tired
It is blatantly contrived
It has been dumbed down & dumbed down ..... & ...
I still think the voting is probably rigged as well.
