The majority of people who have one will tell you it's great. The only thing I'll say about apps is that it has a higher screen resolution than a lot of other Android phones, so you might find some apps aren't yet full screen compatible. It's more likely to affect games.

I sold mine within days.

ICS is fantastic and I really miss it, but the Nexus itself did nothing for me. Too big, ugly and a bit disappointing to be honest. As others say, clearly for devs over everyday users.

A lot of apps don't currently work on ICS also, but soon will.

The Galaxy Nexus is a fabulous phone.

The only thing id check before buying is that it isnt too big for your own liking and your hands. Most people who say they dont like it tend to be critical of its size but thats the one thing you can really check before buying.

The size is perfect for me and using anything smaller now seems very strange !

Very sturdy phone - lightening fast !

Nobody will tell you its the highest spec out there, that isnt the purpose of a Nexus phone. The point of a Nexus is that it will have great support (from both Google and from Developers).

If you want a cheaper phone then the Galaxy S2 is a good phone (although the screen is outclassed by the Nexus).

Really you should:

(1) go to a shop and handle the Nexus
(2) decide if youd prefer to have a phone with extra 'bells and whistles' such as HTC Sense, MotoBlur, Touchwhizz etc.

EVERYTHING is subjective. There is no right and wrong with phones. everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

For me the camera also let the handset down. While you can take extremely quick photos, the quality isn't up to the HTC cameras that I am used to sadly.

For me the camera is much better than my HTC Desire ... if you know how to use it .....

Dont just hit the 'take picture' button... make sure you have used the 'touch to focus' option first. much better results !

Perhaps that's the case against the Desire, but the HTC Sensation produces better quality photos in my experience.
