Wow, a lot of contenders for "Most Predictable Thing to Happen in the Race" today - Grosjean having a bump on the first lap, Hamilton's McLaren breaking, Maldonado contacting someone trying to overtake him...

Jenson showing Webber how to overtake.

Slow is a massive improvement on never finishing a race.

Completely Webber's fault.

Yup, you could still see it coming a mile away though.

Uhuh,

On the outside of the corner and steered right into the apex.
What was he expecting Maldonado to do? Teleport out of his way?

Webber went on the outside. Was always going to be a risky move.

Meanwhile, Vettel could easily be on course for a very very strong points position.

Its all going on today. Looks like Vettel gets maybe 5th or 6th to minimise the damge.

Webber does the same thing again to Massa then Massa screws up all by himself.

Hahah this whole race is just like an extended highlights package.

We just need Raikkonen not smiling and Alonso throwing a massive strop for the full set!

Yes. But the Mclaren finishes some races, just not all. When they do, they score more points than Mercedes.

Hmm, Webber with a second collision at the same corner...

Vettel has been so lucky with safety cars, lots of drivers retiring and making mistakes. Wow.

Yes and how is that strategy working out for them in the World Championship?

Slow and finishing seems to be better than only finishing some races.

Looks like Webber is doing everything he can to help his teammate.

I wonder how long we're going to have to wait before we get to see a crash in the pitlane tunnel?

I had visions of Ferrari engineering a situation where Massa pitted a few seconds in front of Vettel and then accidentally crashed in the tunnel.

But can Vettel one stop from so far out? Should be interesting.

I seem to recall it was Alonso who memorably threw a strop with Petrov here in 2010.

Vettel now ahead of Alonso.

3rd. Mercedes are 5th.

His tyres could last but he could get a massive drop off. If Button passes Alonso, he could hunt down Vettel - Vettel may push his tyres too much, and who knows. I think it'll be very marginal and he could easily be the big loser or the big winner.

Alonso and Button both lapping half a second faster than Vettel.
8 seconds behind and there's still 22 laps to go.

Fireworks to come, I fear.

surely vettel's tyres wont last??!! but whatever, a fantastic drive from him so far bearing in mind his early stop for the wing.
