I think the Force India nose is the best yet, except for the McLaren.

Mclarens have always produced good looking cars. Pity they just aint fast enough. Maybe they should pay a bit more attention to speed rather than looks.

Bit harsh maybe, considering the McLaren clearly was designed for speed - and it was actually faster than RedBull in certain tracks (certainly in straight line speed) - and was way better than the rest of the field.

It's just it didn't have quite the all-round balance of Newey's design, which when married with Vettel's frontrunning ability meant they were often playing catchup in races.

I guess, y'all are too young to remember the MP4/10 from 1995

Nope not that young. I was referring to the last couple of years.

Yes, but you don't really think they're paying more attention to looks than speed do you? That's just silly.

The looks are a simple by-product of their design.

I thought that it was obvious that it was a tongue-in-cheek comment....maybe not.

Nah, wasn't that obvious at the time. Hard to detect. Especially on a place like ds where people genuinely do have silly opinions like that.

Ditto, but as someone else has already said; they were pretty much up there with the fastest car for straight line speed alongside Mercedes. They just lacked corner speed that red-bull had.

I'm hoping McLaren have got both this year.

Oh, and the BBC F1 site blogs are annoying me more so with the Sky haters saying it's all doom and gloom. Especially when most of them had the cheek to defend ITV's diabolical coverage with interruptive ads just to save grace of the Sky deal.

Anybody can be fast the trick is to be quick. McLaren should know this by now. There new car looks ordinary. The Ferrari is not the best looking but clearly functional.

Likely another poor year from McLaren with poor performances from Lewis. Supposed to be keeping his nose clean and already his only friend in F1 is calling him a coward not and man isn’t his friend anymore. All before Lewis starts crashing in to people.

I bet Newey has added some minor tweaks here and here.

Since Newey has used the step nosed approach, I wonder the teams that havent are a little bit worried. I understand that one part in isolation doesnt tell the whole story, and you have to look at the car as a whole, to see how the aero parts work together. If I was a team that hasnt used the stepped nose, I would be doing some frantic testing to make sure there was something I hadnt missed.
