I thought that was strange. Lewis got the but of all the jokes. The Lewis character looks nothing like Lewis all the face was spam. He isn't that ugly. Supposed to be an exaggerated caricature but still.

Lol licence fee, I dont think the bean counters have been allowed near F1.

Seen before from McLaren tyre warm up problems on the inters. I thought perhaps this might suggest more of a dry set up but it could be car specific.

Shame Any David is missing the British GP couldn’t we have some kind of update from his hospital bed.

Also previous British GP winning and McLaren legend David Coulthard couldn’t we have an interview with him? Just because he is on the BBC sometimes sky have to completely ignore him?

Current Rain Today forecast suggests small showers in the general vicinity of Silverstone at around 13.30, and again at 14.45. Looks like the rain won't be a problem.

Loved the biplane clip with Eddie, DC and Jake - that looked very scary but a lot of fun. The Beeb coverage with those 3 fronting continues to be brilliant.

It should be a great race today.

Race will start dry anyway so people down the grid will lose a lot of time in the first part of GP.

Shocking to hear Martin says there will be fights in the grandstands. That's not the sort of thing we want in F1.

DC had trouble finding anyone on the grid after that cross over with Brundle. He clearly didn't recognise JB from JLS who was with Simon Pegg.

Yeah I think the rules of engagement were don’t make eye contact and don’t talk directly to each other.

I'll forgive him for that one. DC is no tween!

Was that smoke coming off Alonso's front-right brake after the formation lap?
I'm sure it was!

What a nightmare for his home GP.

Very exciting start.

I see Maldonado forced Kimmi off the track on lap 1 and Kimmi managed to drop behind and rejoin without incident.

Must be nice when the other driver is prepared to cooperate like that.

I see Perez wasn't so cooperative with Maldonado that time.

Maldonado's collision was at the end of the DRS zone so it was disabled for safety.

Hamilton seems to be going faster and faster on the hard tyre, and seems to have made them last longer than Alonso too.
