I dunno what happened to Hamilton TBH.
He ran on his first set of primes for much longer than anybody else but then only seemed to do a handful of laps on the options and now finds himself with a long run on his last set of primes.

Surely the whole point of doing the initial long run is to make things easier later on?

He should have stretched the second stint on options a bit. Maybe tyre wear was an issue on the options?

Well if it cant be a Brit winner then a good looking Aussie will do.

Great for Webber!

But it's pretty ominous as Red Bull could dominate the rest of the season. What is odd is that mid-season is usually McLaren's strongest period.

I am not going to comment on his good looks or not , but he's had a good race

Any race where alonso/massa and Ferrari get beat then that a good race.

3 wins in 6 races for Red Bull. Glad that Webber's won. I'd love it if he won the Championship.

Kinda interesting that the Silverstone circuit makes for a fairly "straight-forward" race and that's certainly showed that Ferrari and Lotus are the class of the field and RBR are ahead of Mclaren too.

Also shows how Hamilton, particularly, has been making the car look better than it really is.

He's been outdriving the car. The car probably isn't worthy of finishing in the points.

It's probably more setup problems for both drivers. It seems, like last year and the year before, updates on the car don't work well at all.

Why is Ken Clark standing right in front of the middle of podium?

What a Joke.

Hamilton falls further back in the title race.

Weird podium they think it is all about the politicians giving out the cups and not the drivers.

Bring back the unilateral this is terrible.

Disappointment but McLaren only have themselves to blame frankly.

Ken Clarke thinking he had won the race.

The Santander girls getting drenched in water.

was that Jeremy Hunt presenting a trophy?

Jackie Stewart still in those dreadful trousers!

Pleased for Mark Webber, an Aussie but he does live in the UK, doesn't he? Or he does have a house here?

What the bloody hell is this? A weird but interesting change, to say the least. At least the crowd can see them, which can't be a bad thing.

Red Bull look the quickest at the moment almost a 1 – 2 and a track that doesn’t suit them. Should have won at Valencia. Red Bull dominance starting to emerge everybody has a lot of work to do.

S'funny, as well, that in this situation you always get Martin Whitmarsh talking about how McLaren are a professional team (and not just a fizzy pop maker) and they are able to fight back from this situation and go on to win etc.

Here's the thing Martin: You don't.

Agreed. It may be too little, too late for McLaren. I think when this championship started, it was theirs to lose. They're going the right way about losing it. Just a mess frankly.

Without wishing to tempt fate, it could be down to Alonso and the two Red Bulls if McLaren's form continues like this.

Indeed. The justice secretary who has just killed off Legal Aid so the poor can't access justice and Jeremy Hunt who failed to cover himself in glory at the Leverson enquiry.

Surely there were more respectable options?

I didn't see the need for that sham unilateral conference. Still, the race was decent with Alonso/Webber but compared to Valencia, not the best race.
