So we've only ever seen a 2-second clip of Perrie's audition, and none of the others. Could this be because the others DIDN'T audition?

Since finding out that Jesy has worked with a musician called G Duddah who is a friend of Tulisa, I'm beginning to wonder if the girls were handpicked by Tulisa and/or the production company and got to bootcamp without auditioning.

Sounds a bit extreme, even for X Factor!

in the xtra factor after the second judges house when they were chosen by Tulisa, during the interview with Olly and Carolinne you can see a few pics of their auditions...

There's plenty of gifs on Tumblr of Jesy's audition. And as the poster above me has mentioned , when they were put together , they showed clips of their individual auditions.

There is NO conspiracy.

The X Factor only broadcast the most controversial and stand-out auditions.

The girls from Little Mix being OK singers were likely to be in the competition as "filler" contestants so would'nt have gotten much airtime until later on when someone came up with the girlband twist.

In the end, it has kinda worked

Wow, nice speculation!

How about this. By the time the first show aired, the girls were already a band. The production team wanted them to have an identity as a band, hence they weren't shown.

I know for a fact that Jesy had 3 auditions before she even appeared before the judges...

I seriously doubt this, not least because I'm sure Syco doesn't care whether Tulisa wants her mates on the show or not.

Also, if the show were to manufacture a girl band from scratch with no regard for the audition process, I'm not exactly convinced the girls in Little Mix would be the show's first choice out of every wannabe girl band member in the whole of the UK...

Why are people so desperate to find conspiracy theories in X Factor.

Its a TV show for goodness sake.

Even if there was some kind of conspiracy, I'd still want them to win.

Yep, a total conspiracy...:

Full auditions will probably shown on the xtra factor best and worst auditions like all of 1D's last year.

We probably won't see the auditions until Little Mix exit the show or they win - remember last year with One Direction there were a number of people wailing conspiracy theory because Zayn and I think Louis (though his was probably not shown for good reason as it was hideous!) hadn't had their auditions screened? But we did see them in the end. Most of the audition screen time for 1D last year had been on Liam and Harry.

Well I think it is fairly obvious that one or two members of 1D were picked for their look, rather than their voices

If they were manufactured beforehand, why weren't they asked to audition as a band?

they weren't manufactured beforehand...but by the time the first show aired, bootcamp was already over...(and maybe some of the judges houses too?)

That is true (though I guess opinions vary as to whether the least vocal two i.e. Nial and Louis are also the "lookers"!) but many were saying last year they were all magically fast tracked to bootcamp without an audition but we only found out much later that they all did audition

Although someone is bound to try and suggest that these were added in afterwards to make it look authentic!!! I have no idea whether it was a set up or not and to be honest I don't really care. After reading that article about the woman who was dreadful who they hounded until she agreed to appear for the 3rd or 4th year just so they could ridicule her for TV I stopped taking any real interest in the auditions as I do believe that the final 12 or 16 are picked quite early on in the competition, and possibly in the case of some artists even before auditions begin. I think Amelia is one who was fast tracked through to begin with and is there now largely because of her connections but seeing as she is better than most of the others anyway it doesn't particularly bother me although I wouldn't want her to win as I feel it would be unfair to have a winner who didn't take part in the whole competition.

Just look at the link I provided above!
It's from Xtra Factor, a recap of how they were formed.

Bootcamp wasn't over by the first time the first had aired, bootcamp was on the same week as the first show, the judges left BC in the middle to attend the press launch at the O2.

Also, JHs were still well underway, and Tulisa's was one of the last, so even though Little Mix may have been a band for some of the later audition shows, they may have gone the way of the Girl v Boy, etc.

I didn't post this because I dislike Little Mix. I posted because I was curious to see if anyone else shared my speculations that they may have been pre-selected.

People on here have WAY too much emotional investment in these contestants...
Dr. Linus

I don't think they were "pre-selected" as in the producers knew those four particular girls would be a girl group before the auditions. What I think is quite likely is that one of the mandates to the judges during the auditions was to put through a lot of girls so that they could put together a girl group - and those four girls ended up filling that role. And I certainly don't think the girls had any idea it was going to happen.
