There are some more changes revealed today on the Freeview EPG.

LCN309 TOPUP Anytime3 is on the stream being taken over by 5+1. It seems that it will survive in the 5+1 downtime when Super Casino is on. Times are going to be variable as the roulette slot times are variable but the first Anytime 3 after 5+1 launches is 0230 - 0505. It seems to include Picturebox which is TUTV's film channel. PictureBox is also variable length so they will have fun fitting it all in when they have a 3 hour film.

LCN93 Television X is also being displaced by 5+1 and it looks as though it will be replacing LCN191 ADULT redhotTV. Another post has reported the new TVX hours of 0000 - 0400 which leaves a vacant 0400 - 0530 slot. There is no evidence yet but I think Anytime 2 could return here from 0400 - ???? perhaps 0900 in 5* teleshopping and downtime.

If so TUTV will have approx 101 hours of download per week available against 146 hours per week previously for TV Favourites & PictureBox.

Mux A / SDN because Channel 5 is gifted 50% of its capacity, and TUTV leased 2 streams on that mux from Channel 5.

So Channel 5+1 goes on the TOPUP Anytime 3 stream.

I would guess from the above that it's the same mux that TVX and TopUP Anytime 3 are on, which would be SDN (post DSO areas), MUXA (pre-DSO areas).

Thanks for that info, Ray Cathode.

The upshot of it all is basically less slapper TV and less pay-TV on Freeview/DTT and I'm quite happy with that outcome (and more of the latter will follow at some future stage http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/05...twork_upgrade/).

Apologies if duplicated elsewhere.

For me as a TopUp TV user the downside is two fold.

1) No GOLD at night or weekends, not fun liked the shows even if we did miss the end of the weekend movies if it ran past 11 pm and the repeats of Gaven and Stacy (nothing personal but the put them on twice in the same night sometimes)

2) Fewer downloads because of less time to broadcast so Warner TV went bye bye.

I only hope that TopUp TV doesn't dump GOLD or any other services as that would really be the last straw for most people including me (after all why pay for next to nothing extra except a few films and drama shows per week).
