Maybe ITV could comission a series?

It could be a search to find the next big girl-band. Do you think there's a gap in the market for a new girl-band at the moment? Or will there be in 2 years time?

Cheryl could be a judge and could manage the girl-band Her appearing would give the show a boost of ratings and maybe GA could perform on one of the live shows

As X Factor is so obsessed with its manufactured groups I don't know why they don't move to this sort of format. I'd rather watch that than weeks of another mediocre manufactued group being over-hyped against superior solo acts.

I would much prefer to see Pop Idol brought back, the whole thing, mid week shows etc, no mentoring, judges only doing that, judging and not all this crap bickering. It was a far better format that Pop Idols the Rivals for me.

I am not sure I want another manufactured group either, we have one on this show now, so a whole show of it, no thanks.

There was going to be a third season of Pop Idol called Pop Idol: The Next Generation in 2004 I believe.

I'm not sure that they could justify a whole programme dedicated to groups right now. I did prefer the format though, especially during the audition stage.

Going on how badly groups have done on the X factor most years I have to agree with you.

It was a much beter format. The X Factor is all gimmicks and flash sets. Muched prefered the intial auditions being just in front of the judges sat behind a desk. You can hear what there voice is like with the Xfactor now it's all fancy lighting loud backing tracks & backing singers and dancers it's almost impossible to here their singing then again on the x factor it may be a good thing as many of them are so bad
