Series 6 DVD Boxset

Apologies if there's been a thread on this already...

On the S6 DVD boxset idents, there is a thunderclap when you change screens, and again when you don't change menus, and again, when the music loops, and to be frank it's driving me and t'other half up the wall.

Crash!! Episode Selection
Crash!! Hurry up, select said episode.
Crash!! You've selected it, well done.

Does anyone else find it incredibly annoying?

Is it our surround sound making it sound overly loud, or is it another case of background noise becoming very much foreground noise?

I don't mind the menus so much as the quality of the picture this time out. Is it just me or does it not look as good as previous releases? I was quite surprised to find too that the episodes don't fill up a lot of disc space, ie. the second disc of three episodes (Impossible Astronaut etc) only takes up 5.6Gb out of the possible 8+. That's very low especially considering how big each episode is.

It reminds me of when Inception came out and the encoding job was really poor and they recalled and replaced the discs. I don't imagine they'll do that here, but I'm definitely seeing a lesser quality picture than on previous releases.
