So this must be Big Deal 2 which appeared with a new licence along with XTSY?

Doesn't appear to be the case. The new channel on Arqiva B is labelled "Big Deal", with the old service on Arqiva A shunted to 795.

More on Big Deal over in the other thread: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1592702

It looks like a replacement, rather than an addition.

You are thinking in a post DSO only box. If what you describe occurs, Al Jazeera lose all their pre DSO coverage, ie they go from 100% down to 65%. And Rocks stay on 100%.

For both channels to expand on Arq B, two new streams are needed with both channels retaining their pre DSO slots with 100% coverage during those times.

Not in pre-DSO regions like yours.

But just leave it as it is pre-DSO, with Rocks & Co and AJE timesharing...

Nice theory, but doubt it will happen in the next month due to Big Deal and Rocks and Co acquiring the additional FEC capacity. But next year, who knows...

As I said in another thread Rocks and co has two times for freeview on there scrolling test on there screen.
1-11pm and 1-6pm. So by the look of it they seem to accommodate both post and pre regions.

So, let me get this straight in my head:

No changes pre-DSO.

Post-DSO:

* Big Deal moved out of its Arq A slot to 24h stream on Arq B
* Rocks & Co extended end time to AJE's old end time that I can't remember offhand
* AJE unknown or no change

Just, sounds to me like AJE is going 24/7 post-DSO into the other FEC change stream and R&C is extending to fill its ill slot post-DSO, still in the old stream.

Absolutely. I find it very strange that R&C has taken over AJE's old hours if AJE isn't extending hours. I doubt R&C would have moved to a new stream to extend in that way - which means either AJE is extending hours, or the hours that R&C aren't using are going to get a timeshare with another channel. If the second was to happen I think it would have been added today.

Rocks and Co was even explaining about the DSO area where there are on air and not on air in certain areas. With a big map on there screen showing in full detail. That sure is a brilliant idea.

Mmm, you wouldn't see other channels doing that.

Oh, and TVX I believe is extending into Big Deal's old hours, Post-DSO. This has for the first time made a significant pre/post divide... I'm slightly irritated

I'll wait for AJE's end time to arrive before I update my charts, etc., as we still don't really know what it's doing.

So have we got 2 extra Arq B streams today?

Right now do we have Big Deal, Rocks & Co plus Al Jazeera all on at the same time on Arq B?

AJE is still on LCN 89 in pre-DSO London. Phew!

No - according to someone (I forget whom, sorry!) in the other thread, Big Deal is currently off. We can infer from that that Big Deal and Al Jazeera English both moved off into a single move stream - Big Deal expanding to fill the space, and Al Jazeera keeping its current hours. Then, Rocks & Co 1 and TVX expanded to fill the gaps left by the departures of the two channels from their old streams.
