Taylor Hicks. Him and Kelly were the only ones that I was backing up to win it.

Kelly by a million miles but Crystal Bowersox is even better.

Torn between Jordin Sparks and Kelly Clarkson, picked Kelly as she has more memorable tunes.

Seven years later Fantasia is still the only one that stands out as unique among the contestants . There have been some impressive singers to be sure particularly Elliot Yamin (compare his Moody's mood for love to any Marcus performance and it's embarrassing ) and Melinda Doolittle for me, and some brilliant one off performances from others ,Adam lambert ,David Cook , Chikeze's "she's a woman" look it up ! The only one that truly gives goosebumps is Fantasia and the fact that she was even more hated than Misha B makes her winning all that much sweeter .Yeah she screams like she's being murdered at times but never off key or out of tune which is astounding .I still can't believe a teenager could perform with that level of maturity After all this time still think she's incredible
