Next year - what changes would you make?

For me, what's been missing this year has been WIT.
No-one on this series has been especially witty. The Janet Street Porters, the David Gests...
So next series, please producers choose some witty candidates.

The other change for me would be to do a short VT at the beginning of the series showing the candidates in their prime, doing what they're famous for - so that everyone knows who they are and what they did.

Fewer bug trials but more inventive height/buried type trials like Thatcher and the car or Jenny Bond in the coffin

No attempt at fauxmances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agrees with 'who,me?' about witty strong candidates. Adds Takei, Dickenson, Thatcher to list.

Absolutely NO reality TV 'stars'.............they have nothing to contribute whatsoever.

More emphasis on conversations between people. We keep being told (and have been for several years) how funny, fascinating, inventive etc a particular person is but it is never shown.

Stop making one person the Narrator.

Stop the obvious bias.

Like your suggestions.
I think there's far too much interposing - Ant and Dec (lovely as they are) tell us what's happening, then we cut to someone in the Bush Telegraph telling us what's happening - but we hardly see what's happening in detail. It all feels much too 'constructed' this year - fauxmances included!

New venue. Australia has been done to death.

Brand new trials think outside the box.

No one can be voted to do a trial 2 in a row.

No celebrity that needs to be excused on medical grounds.

Liking your thinking re. new venue - but where? How about if they did the Shipwrecked/Celeb Love Island thing and bunged them all onto a desert island?

And yes, agree about no celeb to do a trial twice in a row. How about if someone didn't want to do a trial, they could name a replacement for themselves? That could cause a few rows!

I'd put a stop to the twits in the BT telling us what we have just seen.
Not ever viewer has difficulty in understanding what has been shown.
Jeez...........that annoys me.

They have to pick their baddies better. Pat was good, he did it with humour and was still loveable, but someone like Antony just makes the show unwatchable. They have to find that balance between someone who will gently stir things, but without making viewers' blood boil.

I completely utterly and totally agree with the BIB.

I think we need more humerous characters (although I did dislike Freddie but could see that his style would appear to some).

Cotton just drags many viewers down............yuck.

They actually need a few funny folk in there. I can't for the life of me remember anything really witty happening or truly witty things being said with this lot. Compare this year to David Gest's year..no comparisson.

I think I only laughed out loud once and that was at Willie in the glass coffin.

Remember Paul Burrell? Unintentionally funny, but wonderfully so.

Remember Ant and Dec being hysterical when he was putting his arm into the tunnels?
That was hilarious.

OMG Yessss, his hand in the side of the tree looking for the stars, with every molar in his gob on show...I loved it, especially Ant and Dec trying not to laugh. Or Dean Gafney squealing like a little girl..

I like the idea of the next series being set in another venue.

I would limit the age of contestants to about 50 as the oldies get it too easy and just sit around for a few weeks

Have the ITV2 show on before the ITV1 show with Jessica-Jane Clement presenting with Jeff Brazier in the UK and Russell Kane taking on a more active presenting role. Throw in more comedy characters and tone down the animal side of the bushtucker trials. Increase the number of celebrities so there are 12 from the start with another 2/3 arriving later on - there would then be 4 finalists and 6 semi-finalists, plus the eviction trial would be live. Throw in a couple of vote to evicts as well and do not repeat what they did with Peter Andre this year.

Have to disagree with you there, Dundee Boy. Not all of us over 50s are decrepit. Look at Strictly - Lulu, Pamela Stephenson, Anita Dobson. Oh and Janet S-P was over 50 and she certainly didn't sit around all series. But please choose the candidates with a bit of imagination. I'm sure they only went for Willy Carson because of all the potential for 'Little Willy' jokes...

My main problem is the editing.

- Way too much of one camp member this year. Next year, they need to spread it out and stop trying to manipulate it so much
- Edit the trials/chests/*Bush Telegraph's/Ant & Dec down to a much smaller size and show us more of the actual camp - let's see them all talking naturally to one another
- *They need to stop showing us what's just happened, and then having a camp member explain to us in the Bush Telegraph, utterly pointless - just show us their opinion of what's just happened, not the full story all over again
- Don't split the camps up at the start of the show
- Have more skill/physical trials
- Share the Chest challenges out equally - Emily did three in a row this year - trying to manipulate the votes as she clearly wasn't getting as many as they wanted her to
Scarlett Berry

As Order has just said, stop the manipulation.Way too much of it and It's progressively been getting worse each year, they need to reign it on all they're going to loose their audience. Mark, Anthony, Jessica & Emily.....that's basically been the show. We didn't get a chance to really know any of the other contestants.

David Gest.....58
George Takei...73
Janice Dickenson....55
Wayne Sleep...62
John Lydon...54
Janet Street-Porter..64
Shaun Ryder...49
Jenny Eclair...51
Martina Navratilova ...54

Sorry, but age is not generally the most relevant factor. Many of the older celebs bring far more to the show and most of the ones I quote did not just sit around doing nothing for weeks. It is the character that is important.

With the exception of the joyless Jenny Eclair, I loved every one of the above. They were wonderful, little Wayne Sleep dacing all over the shop, acerbic JSPorter, sarky Shaun Ryder, and who could forget David Fangina Gest.

1. Make the tasks harder, way too easy this year and Ant and Dec have helped more than once with where the stars are - harder tasks mean less food, which is good!

2. Stop with the constant narration from the camp mates, I have a brain, I can see what is happening!

3. Have a good mix of ages, make sure you get a good mix of older proper stars in there, along with the youngsters, I don't want all young or all older. The older ones are good value for money, lots of stories to tell and usually always kicking off more than the youngsters.

4. I have no problem with oldies in there, but make sure they are fit enough for the show, fed up with there always been one who sits on their ar*e for most of the show as they are exempt from trials.

5. Stop shoving fauxmances down our throat, there was only one reason Emily was put in there, and that was for Mark. Not interested!!!!

6. Show us a more balanced view of all of the campmates, not just the chosen few, we need to see them all thank you very much!!

That will do for now.
