To escape, she needs to perform and either to get new people voting (with a bit of help from the judges comments and the VT) or get herself two places above Alex in the marks. That may be possible this week, as some people above her normally looked a bit ragged, at least so far, and it would also happen if Robbie is ahead ofAlex in the vote and beats her in marks - unlikely as that is. . If she's only one place ahead of Alex in the marks, Holly needs more votes and/or a collapse in Robbie's support or she's out on past voting.”

Just saw the end of the one show last night, where they were asking people to vote for Alex. I think it is unfair to the other contestants to use the air time of the show for this.

I would vote for Holly to stay in the competition as she is a far better dancer than either Robbie or Alex. I, too, think it is totally unfair to canvas for votes - but what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. COME ON NEIGHBOUR FANS - vote for Holly Valance aka Flick Scully.

Out of the three I prefer Alex to stay, but Holly is the better dancer. Shame I don't feel any warmth from her and therefore have hardly ever enjoyed her dances. (Bar Swan Lake which was magnificent).

Alex has improved and I don't get the over marked argument which has been on here? Robbie was pretty to watch for a few weeks, however, the clue is in the title of the show; it's a dancing competition.

Without assistance from Mystic Meg and Russell Grant, every prediction has to start from some assumption.

Markswise, Holly has always been top of the trio. Paso doble tonight will suit Holly better than the Dresden china princess roles Holly was asked to portray, and Artem for sure will unveil a wow Zorro choreography. Holly will score minimum 4th highest mark, if third highest then she will be completely out of danger. This poll suggests an overwhelming turnout for Holly, comprising of supporters who previously were unaware that mid-board Holly could sink to bottom two. Women voters who constitute 90% of the phone-in electorate appear to like another woman in Holly. Bookies appear to completely misunderstand the situation the way they completely mispriced last year's Final. Bookies know horses, but DS Forum knows Strictly and the mindset of the electorate.

Alex once sprang a surprise when her foxtrot topped the leaderboard. With the American Smooth she has a possible chance of finishing 4th best rather than 5th best. If 3rd best then Alex will be safe. However, after 120 votes cast this poll hints that women voters like Holly but are cool towards Alex. If a gender preference to vote male is reflected nationwide then 6th-placed Robbie would climb over a 5th-placed Alex who will then perform the farewell dance with a disconsolate James.

Robbie and Alex may be galloping neck-and-neck to the wire, depending on actual dances and faces tonight. Despite this uncertainty it is possible to punish bookmakers for their blindspot in pricing Holly at 5/4 -- back both Robbie and Alex for elimination at 7/2 each. 2 X £2 bets will return £9 showing £5 profit, good for a Xmas cake, cheers .

Come the ivy and the Holly,
Gone are coffin, cannon and folly,
Tonight bookies will present your loot,
Either Alex or Robbie to get the boot.

Any final votes for the couple who need your support? As Elvis said,

"Tomorrrrrrrrowwwwww will be too late,
It's now or never,
My love won't wait."

Holly!! I very much hope that she will stay in the competition, but I can't see it happening, unfortunately. I have no desire to see Robbie or Alex dance again but it is a popularity contest in the end. *sigh*

It's a good analysis, but flawed..in my opinion.
I think Holly needs to be third to be safe, Alex and Robbie are almost certainly ahead of Holly in the public vote.

I think Holly only has to be third, if Alex isn't last on the leaderboard, Holly has to be 2 places above her to be safe. I agree that Holly has most likely been at the bottom of the public vote, but I think it was only Anita between her and Alex last week, so Alex will probably be second to last tonight.

If only I could take back my vote!

Holly stormed it tonight, Alex was good, Robbie was fair. Hope Holly is not in the bottom 2. So very undeserved.

Holly, without a doubt.

There have been only two occasions in this series that I have been transfixed by the drama of the dance. The first time was the Halloween ;Black Swan' routine and tonight's 'Paso'.

Both performed by Holly and Artem.

I haven't felt like that watching Harry or Jason.

I want Holly to stay.
