A young final is probably bad news for those who like the older celebs

Its always been the one reality show where the oldies are given a chance.

However with it being a young demographic who have clearly got these two to the final, I can see ITV wanting it this way in the future.

I can see it being a very young cast in the future with perhaps one token oldie, although this might make it too similar to the other reality shows

Just shows how the totally boring ones float young voters boats. The worst final 2 that I can think of.

It is a terrible final two
What a shame for the show to end with those two in the final

Such a shame

I think its far less likely for a show like this to be able to get young people onto the show anyway. I was very, very surprised that Dougie signed up as the show is mainly filled up with has-beens that people haven't heard of for years. I think shows like Strictly tend to get a far better line-up - and one of McFly are on there this year as well!

Obviously the young ones from reality shows are happy to sign up like Mark. He's used to people watching him all of the time and he wants to get his own show out of taking part no doubt, like Amy Childs on Big Brother.

You may have a point there OP and if they do want to exclude the older contestants then I think they'll alienate a lot of their regular viewers. If we wanted to watch BB we would have followed it over to C5. Mind you it's not really the age which is the concern it's the editing of those who were in there that has been the problem. Antony may have done better if we'd seen less of him and more of some of the others. This really wasn't IAC it was the Antony Cotton and Mark Wright show. Even the roles of Ant and Dec were reduced so we could watch inane BT narratives by Ratman and a tediously faux romance by his sidekick Dobbin!

Can you really say it would have been a bag of laughs if the final two were, say, Willie & Fatima?
or Chrisy & Stephanie? etc etc?
Would have liked to have seen the two alleged "bimbos" as the final two for a change , as, fake breasts aside, they seemed like nice girls, happy, friendly, intelligent & very easy going..

Compare and contrast to Katona & Price

Its a fair point you make as the finalists female equivalents were Emily and Jess and they probably contributed a lot more especially in tasks

Is there any proof that it was justyoung people votin for them? Me and most of my friends wanted Mark and Dougie in the final - Dougie to win, and we are no spring chickens!

Dougie is lovely.

I'd go along with that. Dougie, from what was shown, was boring to say the least - no charisma whatsoever.

I won't be watching tonight's show as I don't understand what the two that are left in have done to deserve being 'crowned' winners

The show has been a horrible disappointment throughout due to the more interesting people being voted out first.

I had hopes that Willie and Fatima would stay or even win (probably extremely unlikely due to demographics of voters) but I won't bother with the show after seeing last night's transmission on the iplayer.

I don't see the point of watching two brainless Essex boys poncing about in camp. The boring Mark with his faux generosity when he is really very, very, very self absorbed.

The dreadful Dougie - as ignorant as Mark. All he could say about his girlfriend was that she had a "hot body". How shallow is that? If I was her, I'd dump him.

Neither of these could give the date of the Battle of Hastings - which showcased their mediocrity.

Completelyy devoid of any intelligence or personality - I'd vote these two Jungle Chumps :-:sleep::yawn::yawn:

I've never heard of "Dougie" - and presume that whatever he does - he is speeding towards that room named "Has Been".

Me neither and had only heard of McFly as his bandmate is on SCD (and I'm quite a fan of Harry now ). I just don't get what people are seeing in him

Must be a generation thing ...

I think you're right to an extent, o/p. I won't be watching the end, as it will be too boring for me now. There must have been a fair number of us old people voting for Fatima, though, so don't rule us out completely!

Far from, McFly had one of their biggest singles out at the end of last year named "Shine A Light". They haven't done much this year except for touring, but thats because they've been writing a new album and they are also big in other countries, especially in South America.

I'm quite pleased these two are in the final and i'm from the "older" generation. I can't see any reason why they shouldn't win just because they're young, or that one of the older ones should win just because they're older!! I'd never heard of Dougie but i think he's been a great camp mate and so has Mark. They're certainly no worse than any of the others. I'd prefer Dougie to win out of the two of them.

The best final would have been Fatima and Anthony - ITV missed this boat, they would have garnered far more votes too,..

Worst final 2 for me would have been Cotton and Carson.
