Just watched last nights show & this was the first show for me this series that i enjoyed every dance.Chelsee & Pasha's jive & Holly & Artem's Paso are the 2 dances that stood out for me last night.

Holly and Artem's Paso is the only dance from last night that I've watched again on Youtube. Vibrant and exciting are the first two words that spring to mind.......

More likely an assistant wrote the relevant quotes down and handed it (them) to her as the dancers are coming up the stairs.

I really enjoyed it at the time but NOW I can't even remember what Jason's and Alex's dances were. Nor Robbie.

Oddly for me I'd say Harry was best! Chelsee had mistakes, Holly's paso was not as good IMO as everyone says it was.

Pasha looked dreadful. Good programme at the time but disappointing in retrospect. Very strange....

Fantastic jive from Chelsee - by far the most talented dancer this year.
Holly - very good but overmarked - certainly not as good as Jason.
Jason - excellent as usual - a fair vote would have put him second imo.
I remember that Harry did the rhumba - but my only lasting memory is of Aliona dancing around him; as usual.
Apart from the mistake Alex did well I thought - I would certainly have put her above Harry last night.
Robbie was the weakest - but I found Ola's support of him after a very difficult week quite touching.

I know people who have never watched SCD and I would have been so embarrassed had I managed to persuaded them so to do on the basis of this latest series.
Apart from odd moments it has been a shambles and such a disappointment with the amount of dumbing down.

I think the BBC should take a year's break from this show and come back another time with a different format not so biased towards the kiddy winkies and the girlies who watch this show.

I loved the whole show, which I have just watched on iPlayer. I thought the pro dance was a great opener and all the couples did really well.

Spoiler

It was right for Robbie to go - he has improved since he started, taken on board Ola's teaching and really come a long way but the other five are in a class of their own now. Well done, Robbie, be proud of yourself.

I thought Jason's homage to Singin' in the Rain was brilliant. It's my favourite film of all time and I was worried that he wouldn't do it justice but I thought it was pitch perfect. Not sure where all the Jason bashing comes from. He strikes me as a thoughtful guy who doesn't gush unnecessarily and does his very best. What more could a pro ask for in a celeb?

I am so sad that, yet again, Alex's dress gave her problems with her heel being hitched in the hem. What is up with wardrobe this year? Was the skirt fractionally too long? You don't see this happening to the female pros. I saw the spoiler thread early last night and thought that Alex was out which was disappointing. So I was pleased when I found out this morning that it was a mistake and she's still in. I like the relationship between her and James, they seem to have gelled well without all the lust that overcame Dr. Pammie last year!

The next two weeks should be great entertainment and I'm looking forward to the pro Charleston on the results show!

SizzlingSpangle, its normal to avoid giving away the result except on the Spoiler thread.

I'm sure it would be appreciated if you would edit your post.

I wouldn' worry as it saves me from wasting a half hour of my life watching tonight's tedious results show. Thanks to SizzlingS

[quote=Bonnie96;55041244]I queried this last year too.

I'm convinced they (Judges) have seen either rehearsals or training and have already made their minds up before the show.

QUOTE]

My thoughts exactly. I assume the judges watch the rehearsals and think about their comments before the main contest, otherwise how do they come up with such witty and erudite comments on the spur of the moment.

This comes up so many times and as I always say, (it was actually a comment by the comedian Jerry Lewis)
"You can't beat a bit of carefully rehearsed spontaneity."

None of the judges are bright enough to come up with instant comments containing so many elements of alliteration and onomatopoeia.

You have just given away the result that many people dont know yet .Its courtesy to use the spoiler thread for spoilers and if not use the spoiler tag .

Just watched the show, really enjoyed it. Would have had Jason and Holly swapping places in the leader board. Can someone remind me of the score for Louisa Lytton's jive, which I thought was the best since I started watching.

Apart from the first pro dance, I was bored with last night's show. The celeb dancing has been completely overshadowed by those naff supposed training films. BORING, BORING, BORING.

I think their jive was quite early on in the competition, otherwise they might have got an even higher score.

They also had very little practice because Vincent was injured early in the week, so they only rehearsed the dance in full for the first time on the day of the show.

This is why I have started viewing on iplayer, this afternoon took 20 mins to see what i wanted ( all the dances ) without all the filler , as of next week I will record the whole show and hope I dont wear out the fast forward when I watch it back later.
