Harry could fall over backwards, get back up then lose one of his shoes, drop Aliona, then stand still for half of the dance, and she would still give him a ten.

She is embarrassing.

Fantastic barnet though.

Erm didn't she give him a 9 tonight?

I think they had her on a restraining leash tonight. Down girl, down!!

I think they all have their faves.

Yep, but Alesha-bashers don't let a small thing like facts get in the way

I find it quite amusing and rather sweet actually.

I think it's far more embarrassing that you don't know the difference between a 9 and a 10.

You may want to take off your Anti-Alesha glasses, you never know, it might help you see things more clearly.

She was positive about everyone tonight and gave Holly and Chelsee higher scores than Harry. There's nothing wrong with Alesha, I think she's a brilliant judge.

She always makes positive comments about all the dancers (except Nancy). In contrast, I thought Arlene used to favour the hunkier male celebs.

The standard tonight was fabulous but the marks did not reflect the individual dances.

In the past few weeks the judges comments about Harry & Aliona have not been reflected in their score. He does not deserve 9s & 10s just because the Craig, Alesha & Bruno love his chest or tight trousers! His hands were "spatulistic" tonight, which I don't think Craig even bothered to mention!

I don't see it that Alesha or anyone else has 'favourites' so this thread is null and void.

Well, I think it's safe to say that I'd give him one. And I don't mean a score!

*leaves thread fighting a losing battle with inner cougar*

She shouldn't even be on the panel IMO . what does she know, OK she won her series but it doesn't mean she knows anything about dancing. Lets get Darren Gough on next year, he would be more constructive and honest and in fact now runs a dance school in his home town. Alesha for me is utter garbage and is very self opinionated.

It was posted before she gave him the 9. I am not anti Alesha, but if I was, it is no business of yours.

Alesha's not there for expertise or objectivity, if you've seen 0.0001s of "Cheryl Kerl" on a Cowell show you'll instantly get the idea.

yep, normally a cliche about taking things 'to the next level' or 'you've upped your game'. she's a little insipid.

Lol, lol, lol....love it.

Alesha has turned in to a really good judge. Her and Craig are the only ones that have any common sense these days.

I think I'd agree, but I do think the OP is right too! I looked into the judges' preferences for series 8 and the current one, and found that for series 8 she was perhaps the most even-handed of all the judges, but for the fact that she went totally overboard for Gavin.

This series she's been favouring Harry (compared to the other judges), but I have a suspicion that this was to counteract Len's undermarking (relative to the other judges). My impression is that this has all subsided now, because Aliona is now doing a good job of showing off Harry's abilities, and putting on some very decent choreography. Plus the fact that Len seems to be in a better mood!

I'd prefer it if she could describe the reasons why she thinks someone 'is going up to the next level' or 'should be proud', the way the other judges do, as then I learn something.

I don't think intuitive people make good judges because judging is about being able to deconstruct why something seems intuitively 'good'.

She's the 'gut-response' with the experience-of-having-won-the-competition judge.

She serves the function of making the programme more accessible to the wider GBP and she does this quite well.

She has also become a full-blown bonce queen!

Loving her hair.

She'd be great for Strictly Come Entertaining or Not Strictly Dancing

but she's a rare beauty and I wish she could take Karen Hardy in hand and help Karen make more of herself fashion-wise.

I think Karen's got more style in her little finger than said judge has in her whole body. Ah well , that's why they say what they do about beauty.
