The best series since 2008...awesome couples, awesome routines...

Chelsea, Jase, Holly, Alex all did brilliantly tonight. Well done.

Strictly...the best show on the box.

Tonight for the first time in SCD9 I offered applause:

55% for Artem, 45% for Holly.
Holly did well. She was happy with herself, and deserved to be.

I think they have done much better with the themes and costumes this series but I have no particular favourite and there is not one couple who 'grab' me the way Kara and Artem, Alesha and Matt did.
I also HATE all the props and faffing about they do before actually dancing! Old school fan

I agree with the OP. Loving this year. I loved all the Series 1-6 (4 probably being my least favourite), but 2009 was, quite frankly, pants. Last year much better and enjoying this year a lot too. Can't quite decide who I want to win though.

They have really cracked the code this year. We have had someone for everyone...all the cast cross the generations resulting in pure magic. I don't want any of them to go tomorrow. I like them all. Alex...Jason...Chelsea...Robbie...Holly and Harry are all awesome!

As I mentioned on another thread, I Sky + the complete series, including ITT, and transferred them all to disc. I now have my Strictly fix whenever I get withrawal symptoms, until the next series.

So am I. This series has been a fabulous treat to watch.
The choreography and dancing have been superb from all the couples including the delightful Russell and Flavia.
I hope that the new series of Dancing On Ice will be as exciting now that the unpleasantness in the judging on that show has been replaced.

It's proved more watchable than I thought - I only started watching to keep up with a bunch of friends who were all discussing it on another forum.

I'm really enjoying this series too. I love that there's still no clear winner yet unlike previous years. As much as I loved Kara last year, she was so miles ahead of everyone else it made it a bit boring for me.

The Chris Hollins year was pants...but it had a lot to follow, following on from 2008. 2010 had to be better than 2009...and then, here we are 2011, and a bumper series. I do miss the LIVE results and 'The Dance Off', I have to say.

I, to, am stuck on who I would like to win. I wanted Jason (because I am a Neighbours fan) to win to start with, but then I like Chelsea and Alex to...

Who do I think will win? On present form, I think it is between Chelsea and Harry...

The 2008 series (Tom Chambers) they did, and I am lucky enough to have a copy.

There's lots about the series to enjoy, but the ghastly VT's and out of control audience are really spoiling it for me I'm afraid.

You need an enthusiastic / lively audience to create an exciting atmosphere. If I was in the audience, I would be clapping and singing along...and doing lots of whooping.

I only started this year, which just shows how much I have enjoyed this series.
