It was going so well, really beautiful, then yet another 'wardrobe malfunction', which lasted about half the dance. I could see it effected her dancing, though she covered it well.

How many wardrobe malfunctions has it been this series? I got a feeling this series has had the biggest amount of wardrobe issues.

she did make quite a few mistakes tonight, she was also a bit stiff and looked as if she was unsure of what she was doing. I feel for her because it could have gone alot better.

I completely missed the wardrobe malfunction until she seemed so disappointed afterwards. What happened?

Well, considering her dress was caught up in her heel for about half the dance, I'd be surprised if she didn't make any mistakes. That's the point of this thread She did really well considering. But you could see it got to her, I felt her pain.

Alex moves very weakly. She really isn't a good dancer.

I thought she was going to cry with Tess would suspect she will be in tears when they leave the studio. So disappointed for her.

Dress got caught up in her heel for about half the dance, which stopped her committing to half her moves. She did well to cover it though, but she couldn't really go for it like she did at the beginning.

Again, her dress got caught in her heel for half the dance, geez.

Imo, she is a good dancer and is the most improved this series.

Thanks Linda. Like you say, she covered it well in that case.

Yw She did cover it well, but it did stiffen her up a bit. I hope that doesn't go against her.

I think that she is going to be eliminated tonight.

just a thought...... considering exactly the same thing has happened to her before, if I were Alex, I would have asked for my ballroom dresses to be shortened a little - they are clearly to long and Alex must know this why doesnt she ask for them to be taken up a little when she has a dress fitting, then she wouldnt get her heel caught

Me too. The odds are stacked against her. Her slot, genre of dance, Holly scoring high, Robbie just one point away...

Perhaps she does. It seems from ITT that the dress arrives the day before the show (?) which means that there's no time to adjust choregraphy to whats coming up dresswise and no time to crash test the dress for malfunction quotient.

Long frock - can't see the feet - can't see the mistakes. Flip side is you risk getting your heel caught.

surely they must have people to adjust/mend/fix costumes at the BBC during rehearsals and on show day - it cant take that long to hem a dress if its too long!

I think she is mediocre at best and not at all entertaining. How did her dance deserve the same score as Harry from Aleesha and Bruno?

I never noticed the malfunction - I just thought that she was poor this week and seems to have plateaued? James was carrying her in more ways than one tonight.

I hope she goes before Holly because I think that Holly is improving week on week

It's a little hard to compare 2 different dances, don't you think? I do find her entertaining,I like her dancing. Though I don't consider her the best in the competition, she is the most improved and is pretty good.

For me, Harry lacked any emotion, and it felt like it was just going through the motions for me, bit of a step down from last week I thought. I felt no connection or anything from it. Harry also looked awkward and lacked some flow and hip action.

Anyway, this thread is about Alex's wardrobe malfunction, not a dance comparison, or a chance to have a dig.
