Alfie singing will be the hilight of tonight's show-shame we have to wait until tomorrow to see/hear him! Guess he may sing 'Maria' from West Side Story-in keeping with this weeks movies theme

In agreement with you there. Saw him in Les Mis in September and poor Mr Cezzy had to liten to me scream constantly; "Alfie I adore you!" Amazingly Mr Cezzy still loves me.

Wow, very , very envious....

I'd have been crying all the way through, this show does this to me...

I have the Les Mis DVD from the O2, and love watching it

I got him mixed up with Alfie P. Dolittle. Someone else'll do the blinkin' work!
Maybe Robbie could dance to that next. Whatever dance, the producer doesn't care.

I love Alfie Boe - not only does he have a beautiful voice he always comes across as a real geltleman.

Can't wait.

if you've never seen LesMis I recommend it. The music will get you "just there" and you will be addicted.

I first saw LesMis done by a local school, they were brilliant.

British tenor. He's a very nice guy, laconic and ordinary, in the best sense. As someone says up thread, he comes across as a real gentleman, but unfortunately IMO he is a mediocre tenor (a bit washed out and limp). He is best in musical theatre, to be fair to him.

Mind you don't want to listen to me... I was all hopeful that Cee Lo Green would be terrific last week.

Am I too innocent? I don't get the joke Sure it's very rude though, so well done

Oh, no, I do get it. It's not rude after all and that's the joke.

Oh dear, a total nonentity in the vocal stakes IMO. Cannot stand his voice, its so amateurish and unrefined.

At least I can fast forward him as I do with all of Bruce Forsythes chatter.

Alfie Boe will be over-singing again for our edification. These operatically-trained types can never lose the stiffness or the boiled ham. Please don't let him murder "Being Alive" like on his current album.

Each to their own, Being Alive is one of my favourite tracks on his current album

I disagree with you completely, his vocals have the ability to evoke a wave of emotion in people - a standing ovation mid way through the Les Miz O2 concert was as a direct result of that ability.
I went to that not expecting to like him as I am not an opera fan but I was blown away after 15 minutes.

He doesn't 'do it' for everyone, no singer does of course but the fact is an awful lot of people rate him. Recording and TV never does him justice - live on stage he is very impressive.

He tweeted this yesterday:
Quote:
“Strictly Bond. Love being on the show tonight on BBC 1. X”

Quote:
“Sorry when I said tonight I meant tonight - Sunday night x”

I would guess he may be singing "All the Time In The World" which he sang the other night on Friday Night is Music Night Radio2

Anyway....as you may have guessed I am looking forward to seeing him on SCD

Getting seriously tired of Mr Boe now.

He crops up on loads of shows, saying the same this, talking through gritted teeth and that beard.

Then he gives us a song from Les Mis .... then onto the next show.

Do wish he would wear something smart too. He's always looks a bit disheveled, in an open shirt, rolled up sleeves like he's just done the washing up and sometimes an open waistcoat. A shirt and tie would be nice, a jacket even better.

we wait and see what sartorial elegance he wears for SCD tonight!
